Maybe pick up Cassel? He's going against a weak Skins D, he might produce numbers. Or Garrard against St.Louis, Delhomme (if you still think he has a rebound game, which I do) against TB- decent enough one week fillers to get by this week.
Well, actually, because of waivers, Cassel might be the only one you can get. A below average starter is better than none?
Re: Fantasy Football Reminder
Augh, if this trade isn't negotiated soon, I might have to offer to someone else.

Exactly, not even worth trying anymore. I got screwed out of a couple running backs, a wide and 3 qb's, kind of had enough.

I'm gonna guess you also missed out on McNabb and Hasselbeck? Lol.

Yes, ha! Next year lets not have the draft on a Saturday morning, k? :)
Re: Fantasy Football Reminder
Ewing, you got two players on bye. If I'm gonna beat you, it's gonna be fair!

you have to play the waiver game...if you wasted your waiver position in earlier weeks by making waiver signings on players that you could have waited a day to sign in FA...then you fall on the sword.
quitting in week 6??? one of the weakest things ive ever heard of rage. I have the second highest amount of points scored in this league yet have a 2-3 record. My total points are not in any way a reflection on one or two huge weeks, i've had solid weeks every week but have played teams that have had their best weeks. I've lost two games while scoring over 250pts in each of those!! Bad bad luck...yet i'm not throwing in the towel. I'm disappointed in you.

i nearly hit the vote against button but i don't do that.
horrific trade for johnson & johnson...i don't get it at all. He moves the games best QB and fantasy option in Brees as well as a very good RB on a scoring team in Grant and gets an average at best fantasy QB in Rothlisberger and a RB in Deangelo who's on a team with significant struggles and is obviously not much of an upgrade over grant. To top it off he throws in Welker and Harvin who have upside.
As for Troy...never trade offensive value for defensive.
Terrible...A+ for Ewing, F- for Johnson.

I took a gamble.
Ben's playing in a pass first offense and lighting it up...and playing against some of the weaker pass defenses for the rest of the year. He's not average anymore, he's elite now, and I'm taking a gamble he's going to put up big numbers on every opponent not name the Ravens. Brees, on the other hand, is elite...but I needed Deangelo.
Deangelo is on a team with pass problems, so I'm taking another gamble and traded for him in hopes he's going to run the ball a lot and get points for Carolina. Grant plays in a pass first offense and is declining...he's not good anymore.
I gave Welker and Harvin away because I believe I have the WR to withhold a drop in talent in that position. Granted, I probably didn't need to throw Harvin, but I don't think Favre can continue with his magnificence, and Welker's "injury prone" this year. Besides, I think Garcon who has Manning passing to him, and Hines who has Ben passing to him will do decent. And I'm banking on Miles Austin, Johnny Knox, and Devin Hester to at least give me 15 points a game each when I start them.
And I took Troy for Newman as a quick exchange as filler.
I think Ben=Brees as of right now due to the weak pass D Ben has to face, I think Deangelo is a significant improvement over Grant due to Carolina completely sucking at the pass and therefore get more carries for Deangelo, Welker's "injury prone" this year, and Harvin won't be as good.
Oh well...time will tell. But Ben is not average anymore, he's elite, especially with Arian's pass first philosophy.
I don't know, maybe I could have gotten more for Brees...but I know Ben's going to put up big numbers and gambling that Deangelo will. I know Ewing got the better of the deal...but I think I made an upgrade for myself in RB and a slight upgrade in QB at expense of two good Wideouts...which I can always pick up because I always do. If you think it's bad, it's your opinion, but in my opinion I felt my backs weren't producing enough for me so I traded for one playing weak run defenses in the next few weeks for a run oriented team.

hey, appreciate the analysis. i definetly could be underrated Big Ben..i dunno. He's a great QB but i don't see him as the fantasy stud but honestly I haven't looked at his numbers that close. I think Grant and DeAngelo are a toss up with a slight edge to DeAngelo...but i've been on the wrong end of most of my RB analysis of late so I wouldn't put any money on it.
good luck
