GM's thoughts: Should have won the game, 1 run lead in the 9th with 2 outs and a pinch hit double by Kyle Blanks means a blown save for Gonzalez. Padres win it in the 11th, tough loss but we're still doing well. 2 days off now then one at the Diamondbacks followed by us hosting 3 against the Royals.

9th April 2013: Podsednik ruled out for 2 and a half months.

Scott Podsednik, the Miners' leadoff hitter and CF has been sidelined for around 80 days with a torn elbow ligament. This is a big blow as Podsednik was hitting well (12-23) and had stolen 6 bases. It is likely Brian Anderson will take over as the every day leadoff hitter.

GM's thoughts: Well now we know what it feels like to go ahead in the 9th. Nice to see even when our starter isn't great we still get through the game and pick up a gritty win. It's a shame to lose Podsednik when he was looking like having a great year, we wish him a speedy recovery.
Re: Baseball in Vancouver
I like it. Can't wait to see what happens to Bud.
Re: Baseball in Vancouver
Why does Romo pitch five innings in the first two games?
Re: Baseball in Vancouver
Why not? He's my highest earning player at $6.5m and he's probably my best reliever. Whilst he's throwing the ball well i'll keep him on the mound, just the way I manage.
