Also lol, a guy who runs a Mets blog did a Twitter survey asking if the Mets would make a trade. I was the only one who said yes.

"TheRopolitans-One fan believes the Mets will make a trade: Scott Downs from Toronto. Everyone else says "No trade." Interesting."

I agree (with metsguy?!?) a little

Adrian Gonzalez was going to be too expensive by far (per the reports I'm seeing), and we already had so much 1B depth that Kotsay had to be DFA'd. V-Mart over Kottaras instead? Hmm, me likey.

It's stupid to have a backlog of players at the same position. You wouldn't want Albert Pujols, Mark Teixeira, and Ryan Howard on the same team.

As a team, yes, you would. That's less talent available for your rivals.

Not saying this will happen, and it won't but the Red Sox technically could still trade for A-Gon as well.

A little of both. Wilson was traded for to be the starting shortstop for the rest of this year and next year.

Why does everyone think Buccholz is so good??? He threw a no-hitter and thats basically hit. I think he is the next Bud Smith.The Sox should trade him while his value is high

Because he is so good. He was a top prospect before the no-hitter and has done nothing since to change that...unless dominating AAA is bad.

Yes you would. Both Pujols and Teixeira have played 3B and the OF in the past.
