I really like this deal for the Tigers. Luke could stick it as a 4th starter and he's young but he doesn't even throw 90 and his offspeed stuff is decent but nothing special. Definitely a replaceable asset.
Mauricio Robles has a decent arm, but he's a raw lefty starter in A ball. 20 years old. His numbers between A and A+ ball this year:

well robles was an outfielder, a converted pitcher...he will take some time. if washburn gives the tigers a good run this year, it's a great deal.

Yeah, I don't buy that at all. He's going from a team with a great defense and a really spacious ballpark, to a team with a very good defense and a fairly spacious ballpark. He'll be fine. Maybe not 2.64 ERA fine, but he should give them quality innings. He's replacing Luke French in the rotation for heaven's sake.Quote:
