Re: Whats the better role?
well the closer needs to be the best because they end the games
and if they are not good they could blow the game and make you lose

Absolutely there is. If you take a look, the closer AI is designed to get him work when its A) a save situation B) a long extra innings game or C) when he needs work. You rarely see a closer enter in something other than those situations. So in my mind, you need to keep Broxton in that same role. Use your best pitcher in the most important situation. Its more valuable if you need to keep a 1-run lead in the 7th inning rather than a 3-run lead in the 9th.
Re: Whats the better role?
Convert him into a starter.
If his endurance is 30 and above, he will pitch 5 to 6 innings a game in the first half of the season but then should become a good starter in the second half and the years to come. Think Lowe.
Re: Whats the better role?
A closer with Jenks' stat line today would be considered excellent, so there's no need to worry about "perfection" since it rarely happens. I'd also want to know their salaries before making a decision, but it sounds like you're committed to keeping them, and can afford to.
Re: Whats the better role?
In Mogul you almost need two 'closers'. One that's used as POC described...and another to do the dirty work.
I'd leave Broxton in the role you have him because you're getting 100 great innings out of him instead of 60.

Thats what I was thinking. And its not like Jenks is terrible in the closer role. The last two seasons before this one he was great.

His endurance is 26. I'm not sure if he can make the move to starter.

My payroll is 100 thousand, and my budget is 150 thousand, and I have a bunch of money in the bank, and i don't have a bunch of holes to fill. I'm good in the money department. But Jenks is getting paid 5.5 million a year and Broxton is getting paid 7 million a year. Broxton's contract is up next year.

He can move to starter. He;ll just take time to get his endurance up.

I know, I've done it before. Its been pretty successful before too (Not always though) I'm just not sure if I want to make the move or not yet
