I think this is the worst HOF selection I've ever seen the AI make...please post your nominees for worst BBM HOF selections ever...:)
maybe baseball mogul thought his average was good enough but still its not like his average was .340 or something
BM puts some weight on over 300 averages. Anything good in his vitals?
He might have had a reputation as a defensive wizard. I've seen worse.
It figures this particular Pete Rose gets in the HOF. He doesn't even have 3000 hits, let alone the 4256 the real one had. I'm sure the gambling habits are the same, too. lol
Most dominant player for six consecutive years, including a .383 average in one season.
He may have a few MVP award and a couple of gold gloves.
He may also have a few WS and maybe even one or two WS MVP or divisional playoff MVP.
I guess he got injured in 2026 and never really recovered.
The guy would get my vote.
While my HOF Pete Rose pales to the real McCoy, he had decent numbers. I personally disagree with the AI on this selection. In my opinion, he wouldn't get the required 5% to stay on the ballot after the first year of eligibility. And he can forget the Veteran's Committee vote later. I like Cuellar, being and Orioles fan myself, but he doesn't have the numbers for consideration.
And hanging on the last 3 years should've have absolutely killed any remote chances.
For better consideration to the question posted please post the vitals tab also.
BM takes the vitals tab into consideration.
EDIT: I cite this thread for example

True, I didn't really check the Vitals. I knew he had a Cy Young from 1969, was dominant especially from 1969-1972 and though the game doesn't show it, got a World Series ring in 1970. But he mooched his second ring in 1976 by being an underused but experienced #6 starter/mop up guy.
Still doesn't have HOF numbers. Still, that part of Mogul is very minor to me. It's something that can be tweaked later. Game as a whole is awesome as it is.
also default for HOF consideration in the ini file gives pitchers more weight
I think its 105 for pitchers there
Also probably takes into consideration his 609 win%
And here's Rose's vitals, too. Don Mattingly had similar numbers and achievements in real life but had 467 less hits than my game's Rose. If Donnie Baseball didn't have those back injuries, who knows what that guy could've had at the end.
Pluses for Pete Rose on your game
2600 hits
310 BA
ROY
1 MVP
if he had more than 1 MVP he would have probably gotten in earlier, but that's speculation
I think if he did not have the MVP award he may have still gotten in but am unsure
What you guys need to notice is all 3 guys you have posted BARELY got in (2 at 78% and 1 at 76%). It's not like they were at 95%, they just squeked in
