Jason Tyner sent to Detroit for...
Nothing
Not cash, not future considerations, not a mascot, not a bat or even a resin bag. The Brewers felt they were better off with Nothing instead of Tyner.
I mean, did they just sit him on the side of the road next to an old couch & wait for another team to come pick him up?

Yes, technically.
"McDonald is one of only a few players to be traded for himself. The Blue Jays traded him to the Tigers in the middle of the 2005 season for future considerations. McDonald was then given back to the Blue Jays following the 2005 season to complete the exchange."
Re: Jason Tyner sent to Detroit for...
Well, I hope Tyner's momma loves him, because nobody else seems to.
Re: Jason Tyner sent to Detroit for...
Aww. I always root for this guy because hes one of the few pro baseball players to come out of this area. That really sucks.
But, its kinda funny too...
Re: Jason Tyner sent to Detroit for...
What area of Texas are you in? Tons of players have come out of the state.

Southeast Texas
I know ton have come out of our state, but I was talking more of our county specifically.
The only ones I can think of in Baseball who have come from the surrounding area within the past few years are Ben Weber, Tyner, Eric Cammack, and Clay Buchholz (Well, I think he was born in my town and grew up about 30 minutes away from here). Weber and Cammack are retired too.
Now about 2 hours away is Houston and I know a bunch of people have come from there.
