What sort of recommendations would come from that, though?

Besides the stadium thing...none. :(
It doesn't have to be about sports, though. Could be anything.
Re: Analytical report for school...ideas?
how about analitacly showing taht people like Dunn are still decent players
Re: Analytical report for school...ideas?
Not exactly business related, heh.
Also, it's a team project, so there's 2 other people.
Re: Analytical report for school...ideas?
maybe a report on what stores have not been affected by the recession. Like Wal-Mart.
Re: Analytical report for school...ideas?
Wal-Marts, Dollar Stores etc really don't have a problem to solve right now. The retailers with an issue are the up scale ones. They need to bring wallets into the store. So they either need to cut prices, lower costs or introduce lower priced goods. The issue with the lower priced goods is that they have spent years branding themselves as 'up scale'. See Starbucks. They did attract new customers with the Dunkin Donuts knock off coffees but lost some loyalty from the base. I don't know where the scales tip on high end vs mass market products, or how you would do a accurate analysis. Does Starbucks run the risk of becoming another Dunkin Donuts in the consumers mind if they go after the $1.50 cup of coffee customer?

Re: Analytical report for school...ideas?
I know you said you might nix the original topic, but here's a study done when Birmingham's current mayor wanted to build a dome stadium there.
Re: Analytical report for school...ideas?
I think the A's, Giants map portion need to be reversed.
Re: Analytical report for school...ideas?
On the stadium idea - there is a lot of research that has been done on whether it is worth it for cities to help fund stadiums. Essentially cost-benefit analysis of the impact of pro sports on local economies. You could take this issue and do an analysis of a particular market and whether the city/state should support a new park.
