Mets, BINGLE, and I once tricked Pujols got traded to the Mets, have gotten him to click all sorts of crazy links, and made him believe the police were after him for online harassment. For the record, I see my ability to influence real, live MLB players has continued.
Last week I posted the numbers from the three offensive moves I'd made showing their numbers before and after.
So, I made a fourth move last weekend. And I told goosengo that he wouldn't like who I picked. It was Lyle Overbay, and he was batting over .300 at the time.
Here's a screenshot of my log stats as to what he's done since. 1-14.
Happens EVERY FRIGGIN time I put someone on my team. They go into an IMMEDIATE SLUMP. :mad:

Picking up pretty much any Toronto player is bound to be a mistake... only one way to go for that team (no offense, Jay fans ;)).

OFG, you're new to fantasy baseball, so you're going through the motions and learning.
Two important concepts to remember are "buy low" and "sell high." When acquiring players, try to target those that may be struggling now, but likely to do better, and try to sell (trade) those that are doing well but not likely to continue.
For example, I read this article, and noticed in one of my leagues that somebody had outright DROPPED Verlander, so, I swooped in, picked him up, and he threw 7 shutout innings against the Yankees (of course, i had him benched! lol).
FanGraphs and Rotoworld are two good sites for you to follow. They both publish daily articles that can help you identify players to acquire.
I can't believe slugging Lyle Overbay would hit a cold spot. I hear he's better than Adam Dunn.
