Mets guy..just give up. You're fighting a losing battle.
Any time now, I think Metsguy will receive a phone call from ESPN regarding a job as a Baseball Tonight analyst.
???
Is it good to have a 9.31 ERA?
Its nice to see the Buc's at 10-7 right now.
Only the Nats are worse than the Rockies :(
lol yeah silly
They probably didn't see him as the idea of "bullpen help", although the Twins decided to pick him up. Hmmmm.

Ellsbury just stole home!
WOW. That was the most amazing play of the year, BAR NONE.
Ellsbury with a straight steal of home, with Andy Pettitte on the mound and a left-handed batter up at the plate.
Holy crap. ****ing awesome.
RSR probably wet his pants since he's there.
Tacoby Bellsbury steals home!
:)
[Edit: Looks like I wasn't the only one to point this out]
I really don't think anybody noticed it Clay.
Jacob scored a point when he stole 4th base woo woo!!!!!!!!
did anyone besides me notice he TRIPPED going down the line...
now I'm sorry... everyone knows I hate the yanks... BUT COME ON!!!!
could you hold him on... the guy is 1/3 of the way down the line before you even start your wind up... HELLO!!!
even stilll. watch the replay on MLB.com... he trips and falls and slides over the plate... its hysterical
on second 31-32 you can see the dirt kick up as his right toe hits the ground
I think the last straight steal of Home was Aaron Hill in 2007 against...*drumroll*...Andy Pettitte. :D
I hate the BoSox, but that was pretty sweet
Wow. What a play
...And here's the video evidence from May 29, 2007. No wonder the BoSox tried it with Ellsbury...Pettitte was not even close on that night, and Ellsbury's faster than Hill. Pettitte = epic fail when it comes to checking runners at 3B...And I like Andy Pettitte (I can't say that about too many Yankees).
I just got back to my friend's house from a 3-game series in Miami - watched the Phillies sweep the entire thing. the Marlins had a bullpen meltdown in the first two games - really ruined great starts by Johnson and Volstad. The first one was unbelievable - people already leaving, then Lindstrom gives up the homer...and another. Crazy.
Chan Ho Park's homerun sailing like 1 foot above the yellow line, 346 feet, was ridiculous. He almost hit another one, but the wind actually didn't help it as much.
Yesterdays game, with that call-up starting, was just painful. My Phillies fan friends went nuts - Moyer was awesome, reaching base THREE times. Hit, BB, HBP. We watched yesterday's game from a suite - had a whole media suite to ourselves, the 4 of us.
There are SO many hot chicks in Miami. And you know what? They are almost all with complete douche guys. So either they really prefer douche guys, or that's all that is available in Miami. So sad.
Anyway, the 3 game series was awesome. And then going to the bar to catch the end of my Sox games - walk off Youk homer, the back and forth fest Saturday, and last night's all around great game. Wow. What a weekend for baseball.
There is a reason that 'douche' guys are 'douche'. I'd elaborate but I think this'd quickly get away from being a MLB talk thread.
Was a good weekend for baseball. The Red Sox/Yankees might have even lived up to the hype. Awesome series. I can't wait to get to a game live.
In honor of Jacoby.
Top greatest moments in stealing home
Jacoby=Awesome. I had a great time at the game, and was happy to see them use Bowden for 2 Innings. A Varitek foul landed two seats to my left. But watching Ellsbury was the highlight. He is easily the most exciting player to watch live.
Jacoby Ellsbury is no better than Mike Sweeney!!
I was there!!!!!!!!
great weekend in stl....cubs and cards lived up to their fan favorite hype
