This Red Sox and Yankees games is nuts
It always seems like these Yankees-Sox games take way over 4 hours.
Apparently, the game is so crazy that ESPN can't fathom it:

Tim McCarver is losing it I think lol.
In the first inning he was comparing Pedroia to Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles because they just seem to always get hits.
And once he said someone was the MVP in 1973 while they were batting. I can't remember who it was. (It certainly wasn't Reggie Jackson though)
Looks like Webb is out for an extended period, at least six weeks.
Missouri has the greatest pitcher and the greatest hitter in baseball right now
Grienke and Pujols
Glad to see Slowey have another good outing and Kubel continuing to crush the ball.
Yikes, appears that The Big Unit couldn't find the strike zone tonight, 7 walks?
sure... atlanta wont give 2 mill to jones or even offer a minor league deal but we give $$$ TO ANDERSON... MAN THAT LOOKS EVEN WORSE NOW THAN WHEN THEY DID IT!!!
im tored of giving 2-3 mill and trying to catch lightning... spend the ****ing $ and gt a bat... for 3 ****in mill more we could have had abreu who if you remember I BEGGED for and is doing fantastic
lets see...
Glavine 1 milion
Anderson 2.5 milion
Ross 3 million (2 years deal)
those 3 we could have done without
and abreu...1 year 5 million
yea great move wren
*******
Today's Yankee game was spectacular. I am now going to go kick a child.
Troncoso trying for the 4 inning save?
when is the last time this guy pitched 4 innings?
Apparently he should do it more often.
Rox have lost 3-straight, 10 of the last 12, and the last 2 losses have been 6-5
Maybe he should be in the rotation
A lot of Grand Slams today
Buccos up 8-1 on the Pads in the 7th. Let's go Bucs.
I enjoy the negative 1 run for the sawx in the 3rd

M's win again!!!
Truly amazed by this start.
what start? The entire league's start? Or a specific team?
Just barely, lol. Even though the Angels have been plagued by injury and are no where near 100% I have to admit it's finally nice to be able to beat them after the last 2 years where we were constantly being dominated by them. I didn't get to watch the entire game because the Sounders FC game came on, but I watched that shaky 9th inning and my heart was beating. I was actually glad they brought in Aardsma instead of Morrow, even if we had lost I still would have agreed with the decision.
I just watched a video on MLB.com about the Mariners win and I noticed NOBODY can pronounce WLAD's name. Everyone says VLAD..even our own announcers do, lol.
the Mets rotation is Santana-Pelfrey then pray for rain
straightoutofhxc (1:49:09 PM): last week
straightoutofhxc (1:49:15 PM): pelfrey was included in the "pray for rain" part.
Metsguy234 (1:49:20 PM): yeah
straightoutofhxc (1:49:26 PM): and he had one good start
Metsguy234 (1:49:28 PM): yeah
Metsguy234 (1:49:31 PM): he proved himself
straightoutofhxc (1:49:33 PM): ....
Metsguy234 (1:49:34 PM): he proved he could do well
straightoutofhxc (1:49:40 PM): but oliver perez had one BETER start.
Metsguy234 (1:49:44 PM): perez has had 0 good starts
straightoutofhxc (1:49:49 PM): no.
Metsguy234 (1:49:50 PM): maine has had 0
Metsguy234 (1:49:54 PM): livan has had 0
straightoutofhxc (1:49:57 PM): no.
Metsguy234 (1:50:07 PM): yes
straightoutofhxc (1:50:26 PM): so
straightoutofhxc (1:50:33 PM): 5.2 innings, 2 runs, 3 walks, 1 K = good
straightoutofhxc (1:50:34 PM): right?
Metsguy234 (1:50:45 PM): yeah thats a decent start
straightoutofhxc (1:50:49 PM): okay
straightoutofhxc (1:50:50 PM): how about
straightoutofhxc (1:51:16 PM):
6.2 innings 2 runs, 3 walks, 4 K's
5 innings, 2 runs, 1 walk, 5 K's
6 innings, 1 run, 2 walks, 4 K's
Metsguy234 (1:51:24 PM): those are all better
straightoutofhxc (1:51:26 PM): ...
straightoutofhxc (1:51:38 PM): #1 = Livan Hernandez, #2 = John Maine, #3 = Oliver Perez.
Metsguy234 (1:51:47 PM): but those dont count
HAHAHAHAHAHA wow
How about you post the rest of that???
straightoutofhxc (1:51:19 PM):
6.2 innings 2 runs, 3 walks, 4 K's
5 innings, 2 runs, 1 walk, 5 K's
6 innings, 1 run, 2 walks, 4 K's
Metsguy234 (1:51:26 PM): those are all better
straightoutofhxc (1:51:28 PM): ...
straightoutofhxc (1:51:41 PM): #1 = Livan Hernandez, #2 = John Maine, #3 = Oliver Perez.
Metsguy234 (1:51:50 PM): but those dont count
Metsguy234 (1:51:52 PM): look at the ERAs
straightoutofhxc (1:51:57 PM): because they had other bad starts
straightoutofhxc (1:51:59 PM): they don't count?
Metsguy234 (1:52:13 PM): no, they havent proven themselves to me due to their high ERAs
Oh, how about the rest of that where you deny the facts?:
straightoutofhxc (1:52:12 PM): Pelfrey's ERA is still 6.32
Metsguy234 (1:52:15 PM): nah
straightoutofhxc (1:52:17 PM): ...
straightoutofhxc (1:52:18 PM): yes
Metsguy234 (1:52:22 PM): i doubt it
Perez
