Start warming up Swisher!

Our bullpen sucks
Our pitching sucks
Our hitting sucks
Well I can say everyone else besides Marmol sucks in our bullpen right now. Neal Cotts comes in for the top of the 7th and promptly walks the first two hitters without throwing a strike. They need to find another lefty, fast. Marmol is in now to try to shut the door.
Marmol saves Cotts by getting Ankiel to pop out, gets Pujols to weakly groundout, and gets Ludwick to pop out as well.
20-2 Indians, top 5th
Oh boy.
20-2 in the fifth.
Oh boy. Steinbrenner's head is probably exploding.
I love this Yankees game!!!!!!!!!!!
Well... I spoke to soon about Marmol as he gives up two straight doubles and hits a batter to start the 8th. He's out now as Gregg comes in. Not Good.
Gregg comes in and gets the job done. Strikes out Thurston and Rasmus and gets Schumaker to ground out to short. 5-5 BOT 8
Cards go down in order in the 9th as Gregg gets Ankiel to popout, Pujols to ground out, and Ludwick to ground out. Pujols on the day os 0-4 with a walk. Pinch-hitter most likely Bradley, Soriano, and Fukudome in the bottom-half for the Cubs.
Lincecum cruising with 13 K's through 8 inning...98 pitches...and they take him out and, rightfully, wind up giving up 2 runs.
Last year, the Giants were willing throw him 130 pitches in meaningless September games...yet they take him out at 98 on a day when he is absolutely dominating in a game in April?
Extra innings in Chi-town.
I wonder if Nick Swisher will pitch again.
HAHA Giants = EPIC FAIL.
HAHA Yanks!!!!! Just saw it now.
The Yankees used five pitchers today.
Chien-Ming Wang threw 1.1 innings and gave up 8 runs, inflating his ERA to 34.50.
Anthony Claggett threw 1.2 innings and gave up 8 runs as well, inflating his ERA to 43.20
Edwar Ramirez threw 2 innings, giving up just 4 runs (!), bringing his ERA to 8.44
Jose Veras threw 3 innings, giving up only 1 run, but still has an ERA of 8.53
Damaso Marte threw 1 inning and gave up 1 run, and his ERA is 21.00
I know the season is early, and Wang is coming off an injury, but how can you have such a bad pitching staff?
Indians win 22-4 lol
Aramis Ramirez with a walk-off in the 11th. 7-5 Cubs.
Cardinals bullpen is yet again, becoming the death of us....our big problem last year, our big problem this year....thus far.
we have had good bullpens in the past, and I know it's easy to blame the bullpen, but it really is our big issue
Wang's injury was a hurt leg so I'm not sure if you can blame it all on his injury. Sure, he uses it in his mechanics and gets power from it, but there wasn't any lingering damage so you have to wonder if it really is his leg or something else.
Wow. Wang now has a 34.50 ERA
Zack Greinke, dating back to last season, is working on his 32nd consecutive scoreless inning.
He also just threw a 61 mph curveball.
Greinke is embarrassing the American League right now.
My god.
Brad Lidge just blew a save!
Go Kouz! 8-5 Padres, Lidge got ROCKED
And now it looks like he's gonna take an L too. Just gave up a 3 run shot to make it 8-5.
Oops, the Mets Guy beat me to it. :p
And the crowd is cheering for him as he leaves the game... WTF
33 consecutive scoreless innings. Ties the franchise record (if they allow it to be carried over from last season).
lol, I just saw the Yankees score and wow did they get humiliated. I know it's only one game, but it doesn't look like that money is working. Giving up 22 runs in one game is something no team should ever do, especially one with a payroll like the Yankees.
CG shutout for Greinke against a great offense in Texas at their park. Ends it with his 10th K on 111 pitches, going from 61 mph slow curves to 94 mph heat on the last pitch, with everything in between. 34 consecutive scoreless innings. Franchise record.
Somebody might want to start remembering this kid's name.
