As soon as he hit it I thought it was gone then as it was comming down I tought he missed by about a foot until it went over... what a shot :D taht is a SERIOUS HR. 379 plus over a 30 foot wall. I dont understand how people say its a small park... its got in INSANELY high wall in LF how is it small
I never thought of big papi as a consistent excellent hitter....he is a solid hitter who has a had a few good years, I would take Howard over him. But I wouldn't also say he is done
Whether or not Big Papi realizes he has to make adjustments to his swing will decide whether or not he's done.
From 2003-2007 he was one of the top and most consistent players in the MLB, all his OPSes over .960 over that stretch. He topped 100 walks in 2005-2007(Led League twice, and once in OBP. His OBP was over .400 2004-2007), 30+ HRs 2003-2007(Led in 2006), and topped a .600 SLG% 2004-2007, and batted over .300 3 times from 2004-2007. He was not even that bad last year, had a .877 OPS, .507 SLG.Quote:

I'm posting this here, even though it may belong in the Sports Mogul Roto thread, because it appears I've got a very real, very measurable effect on baseball players. Thus this has a very real effect on MLB.
You see, when I put a baseball player on my team, HE IMMEDIATELY SUCKS! What a gift! ! ! ! If only the roto team had a roster big enough, I could put all the other players in the National League on my team and the Nats might have a chance! ! ! ! It's foolproof!
Seriously, I've made three moves to my offense so far. Three. And not only have all three failed, they've failed in epic proportions and the timing of the epic fail can't help but lead one to the conclusion that I have an effect on MLB. Below are the very real before and after numbers of all three of my moves. The numbers those players put up before I grabbed them, and the numbers after. I would laugh if I weren't so busy crying.
So, what do you think, in the interest of all the rest of the teams in MLB, should I refrain from making any more moves???? That's what I'm thinking. Or, alternatively, I'm thinking that if I make good players suck, maybe I can make sucky players good, and move as many Nats on my team as possible.
