I known BM 2010, and it doesn't stop but it really only happens for me once a day.
Am I the only person that doesn't get this when opening BM 2009, or is it because I have BM 2010 as well?
It's because you already purchased BM 2010.
No, I'm not getting it either. I haven't used 09 since I bought 10, but I tried yesterday and several times today and I didn't get spammed.
But Flapper directly above you says he owns 2010 but he is still getting spammed.
This must mean that there is something turning it off, then right??
I don't get why you and I aren't getting it but Flapper is (and we all own 2010). It's all very confusing.
I have both and have gotten the message 3 times.
First, I don't consider the message spam.
Second, since I bought BM 2009 I had to replace the hard drive could that make a difference?

Agreed
The main difference is that you've purchased a prior version of Baseball Mogul, constituting a "relationship" between business and client, so it's not something completely out of the blue. That differs from unsolicited communications from somebody trying to sell you Viagra, for example (unless of course you've bought that too :p), or trying to get you to download porn. Hopefully it ends up being fixed so it doesn't display for those who already purchased BBM 2010, because that's redundant, but I can understand the prompt for those who haven't.
It should only show up something like every 5 times you play, and never more than once per day. I'll check the code to be sure, and I'll see if there's anything I can do about it.
Clay I even got it once during the game (When I did a save). I didn't mind it showing up once to let me know that a new version is now for sale. But to have to put up with this forever ? VERY bad business practice.

me too, but I'm not all that bothered by it.
It shouldn't even be this bad guys. I know that popups are annoying, so it's programmed to only check every FIFTH time you run the game. If there's a new version, it lets you know. You buy Baseball Mogul 2009 and run it four times without it checking for a new version. The 5th time you run it, you get a popup and you just click 'Remind Me Later'. Then you run the game four more times with no messages. Then the 10th time you start Baseball Mogul, it checks again.
