That's absolutely nuts.
He is the Glenn Beck of ESPN, apparently.
Yeah, he's pretty stupid. He thinks the Rays are a fluke and will finish in last place (he said this on a previous appearance, not this time)
ESPN... your supprised :D
Well, he's not completely insane. He's not predicting my Jays will win the East or even make the playoffs or anything. That would be grounds for committing him to a psych ward. :D
Call me nuts, but the Mariners are going to have a better record than the Jays this year ;)
Trust me, Rob Parker is one of the single worst people ever to have a job in journalism. ESPN embarrasses themselves further every single day that they have him on TV.
This is ESPN we are talking about. And since he is jumping to stupid conclusions, I conclude San Diego will throw 3 straight perfect games and Kyle Blanks will break Bond's HR record.
Yeah, go ahead and call me nuts too.
The Rays won't finish better than third.
But no, not last. The Orioles have a lock on last.
(Must be something about the Baltimore-Washington area, both teams have virtual locks on last place. Although the Nats might beat the Marlins. Maybe.)
We'll all see.
:D
Thinking the Rays will finish 3rd isn't crazy..it is realistic, though I think they will win the division.
Thinking the Blue Jays will finish ahead of them..insane. There would have to be a massive amount of luck involved for that to happen...a massive amount.
I guess I wasn't clear enough.
I think third is their ceiling. I don't think it's all that unrealistic to assume the Blue Jays might finish ahead of them. I certainly think it's more than a 0.7% chance. If I had to pick who would finish third, I'd pick the Rays, but I wouldn't be shocked at the end of the year if the standings were Sox/Yanks, Jays, Rays, O's. Wouldn't be shocked at all.
