Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
Clay will release the game when he feel's that the game is ready for release. I know that I have been critical of the $34.99 to buy the game, but when the game does come out I will buy it. Be patient the game will be out, and like I said when it's ready it will be released, all good things will come to those who wait.
-
Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
Well, the game has already been released so... yeah...and I guess it's only $29.99 now.

And I love that there was that discount. Now when Houston has to pay 35 dollars because he is not logged on now I can laugh at him

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date

Is 'Allah' wahidy' mean the same as 'Allah akbar'

:)

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
Anyone else having trouble finding anything different from 2009 that is worthwhile. Only thing I noticed is the ability to conduct the expansion draft (Which gets you a team of 35-40 year olds), different comebacks by the players when negotiating. Thats it. Gameplay is the exact same as well as just about everything else. I regret buying this already instead of just playing 09.

Well, there's been multiple discussions on the forums regarding the new features and what not, as well as a list of them[/url]. Did you look over the feature list and/or browse the forums before making the decision to purchase it?

I did see those about a month ago when it was put on the web. However, none of those changes or updates are really noticeable during any gameplay. I guess I should have taken that into consideration before buying. I guess they only focused on updating ratings and putting in the 2009 schedule.

The expansion draft, ability to change the number of pitchers and hitters on the major league team, ability to change pitcher usage in the minors, improved historical stats, more realistic pitcher types (no more overabundance of high-K/hard-hit pitchers and low-K/hard-to-hit pitchers), improvements to online league play, etc. It's not just ratings and the schedule.

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere and am not at home to play the game yet. Could you expand upon this some more? I'm rather intrigued... :D

You can adjust how many innings or so you want minor leaguers to throw in the minors, so you can have them go starter to reliever or vice versa or whatever.

Yep. Just like in the majors you make a pitcher a starter, closer, short reliever, long reliever, etc., you can set that for minor leaguers now as well.

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
Solna is the kommune in Sweden that I live in
The correct spelling is:
الله أكبر
Allah wahidy = God is the one, it's an expression like 'Jesus Christ' but less blasphemous-though not the way I used it. Allah Akbar actually means 'God is big'

I like the Google Earth map. Thanks.
Are you a native Swede, or a [USA?] transplant?
If native, how did you find out about the BM sim game?
Have you liked baseball (the game) for years now, or was it recently?
And how did you get to be a Dodgers' fan?
I'm just curious about non-USA people on BM forum! Not required to answer all/any of the ?'s. You've posted over 5,700 times in less than 1 yr.

I thought it translated to either 'God is good' or 'God is great'.

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
What I REALLY like is how easy it is to set up a new league with teams from different years.
-
Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
Just got it and it's downloading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
How big is the file? I have a crappy connection, if my download doesn't work the first time, can I download it again without problem?

Big, from the verb Kibir
and wahidy from the number 'one'-'wahid'

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
Gotta wait for my dad to get home..we're splitting the cost. Can't wait to play it

THIS SUCKS
I've been into my Senators and have carried them to almost the 80's and now, because of this feature (yes, I knew about and was dreading this day), NOW I'VE GOTTA START ALL OVER AGAIN IN 1961 so I can be TOTALLY AT FAULT, err, responsible for the WASHINGTON SENATORS ! ! ! ! !:D
EDIT: Oh well, purchased and downloading. Back to 1961 I go. :o
EDIT2: LOL, I just realized I gave my new Yahoo email info when I ordered this. In the past, I always gave my ISP email, in my case Comcast. Does anyone know if giving a different email for this purchase is going to somehow screw things up??? Should I email Clay or Dee or any old email works, they don't care as long as it's an email??
Sorry for a dumb question, but as I've said multiple times I'm not too bright in most things computer and/or interwebs.
Guess it didn't affect the download though, just got the Download Complete bong as I typed this. Off to 1961 I go. See you folks in about 50 years.

The E-mail will make no difference. And you can import your old Sens into 2010. But expansion is fun :). Enjoy 1961, I am in 1971 with the Brewers now, started as the Pilots and did the draft.
-
Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
The changing roster size and being able to add an extra pitcher makes the purchase worth it for me. I hardly ever used my bench hitters and always wish I had another pitcher.
-
Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
I love being able to convert pitchers in the minor leagues too. If you draft that flame-throwing relief pitcher and want to try him as a starting pitcher, you can now.

yes, this might help you change endurances easier too I hope
-
Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
Yep, it does that. During the beta test, I noticed that some players' endurances increased faster than others, but that's to be expected.

see post # 53 this thread to see why sampling the demo first, is a good idea...

Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
And now you decide with spot in the batting order your pitcher will use... sweet! I'll bat Zambrano seventh!
-
Re: Baseball Mogul 2010 release date
You could do that last year too (in PBP).

OFG, if you're dabbling in the 1960's you might need a different kind of bong.
