Dontrelle Willis battled past an anxiety disorder to return to the team and get his first win as a Tiger last week.
Upon hearing that he would be starting against Matt Wieters in his ML debut, the Tigers placed Willis on the 15-day DL today, with anxiety, as a precautionary measure.

Matt Wieters is so good, Baltimore will send him straight to th HOF. Seems that is the current plan.
Matt Wieter's father is a first ballot hall-of-famer.

Matt Wieters once hit a baseball so hard that the ball broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean
Matt Wieters’ swing is so powerful, it can be seen from outer space by the naked eye.
To be or not to be? That is the question. The answer? Matt Wieters
This morning, Matt Wieters was the "cover story" on BaseballProspectus.com. Currently, the site is down and experiencing errors. Coincidence? I think not.
The reason other players do steroids is to keep up with Matt Wieters.
Joe Sheehan gets in on the action:
Quote:
Capping the greatest story in baseball history... no, sports history... the Baltimore Orioles became World Champions last night, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-1 to complete their sweep, and extend their winning streak to 129 games, a stretch that dates to May 25, four days before catcher Matt Wieters made his major league debut.
I just read that BP piece on Wieters. It's a hoot. I lollered several times.
Saw this in the comments - "Joe, you left out that he dates the world's most interesting women and (inexplicably) only drinks Dos Equis." That was worth another loller.
Thats great, I loved the comment that Matt Wieters can make an omelet without breaking eggs.

I am actually really looking forward to his debut tonight. Too bad it won't be on TV here. I'm guessing he'll go 8 for 4 with 258 home runs. Or something like that.
mlb.com had "Sliced bread is actually the best thing since Matt Wieters"
For the first time this season, MLB stands for Major League Baseball. Up until now, that name has stood for whichever league Matt Wieters has played in.

Wieters owns all.
I loved the "switch-hitting Jesus" comment on ESPN earlier.

God spent six days creating Matt Wieters. On the seventh day, he rested.
Still.
Although it's early.
Someone should remind Wieters that home runs are great, but RBI's are even better.
HR for Sen. Dr. Wieters
Matt Wieters even hit Andrew McCutchen's first career homerun. Wow.
McChutchen = McCutchen, of course.
It wasn't even Matt Wieters who hit the home run, it was his mind.. He took a day off from greatness.
Baseball Mogul LOVES Matthew wieters hence why him being age 22 would go from 84 overall to 100 overall by age 24..... (he had a amazing 393 Potential without editing) (the peak said in comissoner mode that he would hit.404 with 50 homeruns ! i wonder if he will be the next .400 in real life then...)
...
See? Even God is greedy. No wonder he's still unsigned.
