OK, I finally get the whole FJM.COM thing now.
I've gotta admit, I never really understood it. I've watched Sunday Night Baseball since it's inception, and he never got on my nerves to the point that I would dedicate an entire web site to getting him fired. I mean he could be pointless sometimes, maybe even anal, but I've heard pointless and anal broadcasters my whole life.
But watching MLB network, and I get it now. I understand.
So, now, I'm waiting for the FHR.COM website. Now. Please.
Don't wait, don't think someone else is going to start it. Do it today.
NEVER has a broadcaster of any sport gotten under my skin like this anal, childlike, silly, "I've really got nothing to add but I'm running my huge trap anyway" guy on MLB network. And his years on Baseball tonight and covering the College World Series for ESPN it never hit me like this.
But this guy has to go. Now. Please. Pretty pretty pretty please.
Thank you.

I'm waiting for it.
Re: OK, I finally get the whole FJM.COM thing now.
I never really disliked Harold Reynolds...but I guess that's what happens when you sit across the table from John Kruk and Steve Phillips. A rock would seem to be exceptionally smart if put into that position. Now that he's sitting aside guys with brighter minds like Barry Larkin, he's beginning to get on my nerves.

To be fair, the FJM guys say they don't really want Joe to be fired. It's just the name of the website they use to make fun of him (in the beginning, of course now the scope has broadened).

I am still, as you can tell, in denial.

I never was able to stand Harold. He always was a bother to me. Not that Eric Young is much better, mind you.
I really like Barry Larkin though.
Re: OK, I finally get the whole FJM.COM thing now.
Ok, so I turn it on MLB Network to catch the PR/USA game. Figure, no worries, H.R. did the other game.
I time it perfectly where they go to an interview with Pudge, and who's doing the interview???? Of course, I should've known.
The funny thing was the first question.
"Ok Pudge, you guys made it to the second round. Was it fun playing at home?"
Was it fun playing at home.
I turned it off (the sound, still waiting on the game) but I would've given a tooth to hear Pudge respond "No Harold. Hell no. Why in the hell would it be fun playing at home?? The team got together and voted before the tournament and voted to have our first round games in Japan. So we didn't get it, and we were grumpy, and it was just no damn fun at all."
was it fun playing at home?
Does he get paid for this???
OK, this will be my last post. I guess I'm turning this into a FHR.COM thread.
I'll leave by saying........
FireHaroldReynolds.com.
I'm still waiting for it.
Re: OK, I finally get the whole FJM.COM thing now.
Stupid questions have always been asked, but it's gotten a thousand times worse as the 24 hour sports news cycle as reared it's ugly head. Same problem that has afflicted news now that it's become a 24/7 business...crap that has no business being touted as a major news story gets massive overexposure and coverage because the networks need something to fill the airtime.
By the way, my personal choice for dumbest question I have ever heard of...Larry King (KING of the stupid question!) had a skateboarder on his how...I don't think it was Tony Hawk, but I don't remember. Anyway, he had obviously run out of questions and was trying to fill the remaining time and asked...
"How important is the board to skateboarding?"

Regarding "Was it fun to stay at home"....c'mon, he's just looking for an anecdote. It's a softball question that really helps the interviewee lighten up and have something to dig into....as far as that stuff goes, it's a good question.
Teethgrinding affairs are when pitchers who get shelled are being questioned right after the game. How many ways can you say "I sucked" to basically 15 variations of the same question.
THIS is the best interview answer ever.

Thank you Cleveland for pissing off Josh Beckett.
