Dynasty Hall of Fame April 2009 Nomination Thread

It's that time of year again!

Hello and welcome to the 4th nomination period of the Dynasty Hall of Fame. It was established to reward excellence in dynasty writing, reporting, and storytelling.

Please, when you have a chance, browse our hallowed thread and read the already enshrined dynastys: Even the Braves and To Rule in Kansas City. They are both fantastic reads, and provided the inspiration for many of today's best dynasties.

Last time, as you may or may not recall, the rules were tougher than ever, and it certainly showed, as for the first time in DHOF history, no dynasties made the cut. However, we hope to change that this time around, as the rules have been modified again to make things a little easier.

THE RULES
1. We will be accepting 4 nomination. This is one less than last time. However, there will be no holdovers from the last ballot.
2. You may nominate an unmentioned dynasty or support one already mentioned. Please do not list more than 2.
3. Each dynasty requires 3 'YES' votes to be placed on the ballot
4. Please DO NOT NOMINATE YOUR OWN DYNASTY.
5. Nominations close at 11:59pm EDT on March 30, 2009, or when there are 4 dynasties that meet the criteria, whichever happens first. Should there not be 4 qualifying dynasties when time expires, I will carry over the top votegetters from the last voting period (January 2009).
6. A separate voting thread will be set up on April 2, 2009, and will remain open until April 25, 2009. There you can cast your ballot for the next class of the Dynasty Hall of Fame.

Well my first choice is by far Welcome to Cincinnati: The Griffey Years.

But, since that's already nominated I'll nominate It's going to live forever in Oakland. That dynasty's been around too long and the writer has worked too hard on it for it not to be considered.

Agreed, and I would third the nomination. I used to make fun of that dynasty so much, but the more I read it and get into it, I like the angle/creativity that he's put into it. It's certainly "unique". I'm not sure if I would vote for any of them this year, but AthleticsFan has had it going since last August, and I really like the longevity of the greatest dynasties on here.

There are quite a few good dynasties going right now that hold potential, but I'm waiting to see if they will still be around and not bored with their own ideas a few months, let alone a year, down the line before I deem them "Hall worthy".

I third Cardinal Sins and nominate Royal Blue's Royals dynasty. It is old, and the only way to find it is through search, but it was great
