Anyone watching Morehead State-Austin Peay on ESPN2?
Tied at 63. Just went into 2nd overtime. This is why I love college basketball, especially this time of year.
Yeah, I just turned it on. And as much as I love baseball and football, NOTHING beats March college basketball.
It was an amazing sequence to end regulation:
Morehead State had the ball, let the shot clock run down to about 3 then threw up an alley-oop, which went in with about 6.5 seconds to go. Then Austin Peay raced down the court, dropped the ball on the floor, only for a teammate to pick it up and bank it in with no time remaining.
To quote Dick Vitale, it was "awesome, baby!"
And tied with 14.1 to go in OT #2...
Morehead St. takes it 67-65. Heck of a pump fake before making the shot.
A few things about this game...
I'm a bit disappointed as I went to the Peay so I was obviously rooting for the Govs.
It truly was a great game and is a great example of how amazing this time of year is in College Basketball.
Being at an AP/Morehead St game is one of the most enjoyable events I've been to as a fan. The chants of "Show your Peay-ness" and "Let's go Peay, beat Morehead" truly puts the AP fans in a cheerful mood.
This was a huge upset lol Austin Peavy was the clear favortie with their coach Jake Peavy:p
