Who is the player on your fav team.....?
That you are most excited about this year?
For me, I'm a Cards fan, any year is excited to watch Albert play, but the potential of Rasmus making it, Shoeman Shumaker playing second and to see if Yadier can consistently bat .300 are my factors. But I am most excited about Rasmus. you?

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Tulo or Fowler (If he makes it) or Stewart
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Tulo, Stewart, and every pitcher because I want this team to pitch well.
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Red Sox...tough one but i gotta go with Jon Lester.
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Joe Crede. See if he can stay healthy and actually give the Twins a productive year @ 3B that we haven't seen since Koskie left.
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
ryan braun, enjoy watching him play, the few times i can catch a brewers game
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
I guess I'll say Alex Gordon

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Hmm..I always like watching Torii Hunter play, and I think Napoli will have a really good season.

I'm interested in seeing how well the Twins' young outfield will play, ie Delmon Young, Carlos Gomez and Denard Span.

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
May have to wait a bit, but it'll be kEwL to see John Smoltz pitch in a BoSox uniform.

I want Ortiz return to full health and pound the s%$t out of the ball to shut up all the people saying he was on roids. I'd like to see Drew, Rocco and Lowell at full health too but it doesn't seem likely.
And yes, I want to see Smoltz shut all the doubters up too.

I'm most interested to see how Delmon Young performs his second year with the Twins. I hope they don't give any serious thought to trading him, because he could be a monster in a couple of seasons. We'll see what happens this year.
On the Rockies, seeing how Todd Helton will rebound, as well as watching Eric Young Jr., just because when I started watching the Rockies when I was a teenager, his father was their second baseman!

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Dodgers - Clayton KKKershaw
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Pedroia (because he's my favorite player), seeing if Lester can duplicate or improve upon what he did last season, Ortiz, Lowrie.
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Dustin Pedroia,Justin Masterson,Jacoby Ellsbury
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
CC, Cano, and ARod after all this

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
I did forget to mention: Carp. If he has a healthy season, Cards could be a world series team again. He is really their only missing link. Getting a top ace back to any rotation could do that for a team.

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
I think the Cards are a lot farther away from being a WS than just one SP, no matter how good. The Cubs are far better than the Cards in just about every way as of right now. Not to say the Cards suck....but they have a lot more holes than just the top of their rotation.

Well I look at the team that won it in 06' and they aren't really any different then that team was. other then Rolen and Edmonds, and they are replaced by guys like Ludwick and Glaus. The back end of the rotation is a little different as well, but really, i see the two teams as being very similar. two teams as in 06 Cards and 09 Cards

But the '06 Card's were a very "lucky" team, too, for lack of a better term.

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Proven : Felix Hernandez / Ichiro
Unproven : Brandon Morrow / Jeff Clement / Franklin Gutierrez
Duh? : Griffey Jr.

Three K's in an inning is the ideal number and we've already established that I'm a racist.

Well good enough
And yes, the 06' Cards were very lucky, but that said: It's basically the same team, lighting can strike twice in the same place.

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
For the Mets daniel murphy he looks like a pure hitter with great knowledge of the game i can't wait to see him in his first full year
also reyes wright beltran johan du
another 4
1 mike pef to see if he can repeat last year
2. maine coming off injury
3. delgado- need him to have a good year
4. fernado martinez-maybe he can come up and do good

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
I'm looking forward to Travis Snyder's potentially first full season (he is only 21 I think and he could be up and down a bit). I also want to see what Adam Lind can do with a manager who has confidence in him. I'm crossing fingers and toes for Aaron Hill to make it back from last year's concussion, but I know the odds against it are steep. It would also be nice to see a return to health and form from Dustin McGowan and Casey Janssen, although 2 pitchers returning from torn labrums at once could be asking the baseball gods for a bit too much. Staying out of last place in the AL East would be nice too. Probably the most eagerly anticipated question with the Jays is who will the new President be when interim President Paul Beeston steps down after naming him. This individual will have a huge impact on the (much needed) new direction of the team.

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Boston:
David ortiz, I want him to bounce back
Jason Bay, in his first full year in Boston
Lester, my favorite player
Colorado:
Tulo, my favorite Rockie, I want him to go crazy this year....
Hawpe, my 2nd favorite Rockie
Ianneta, 1st full season!
Atlanta:
Chipper, looking forward too another repeat!
Pittsburgh:
Mclouth and Doumit
Seattle: King Felix
and Toronto:
Lind and Travis Snider, who I hope becomes one of the all time greats
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Id Like to see chipper play 145+ games and hit .325+ again :D
I also will be watching francouer to see if he can rebound.
I want to Jair again as well... I hope I see him pitch this year too

Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
I think I'm basically required as an Indians fan to love Grady Sizemore (not that I'm complaining...the kid's ridiculously good and a lot of fun to watch).

That's who I am hoping Rasmus can end up somewhat like.
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Seeing if Eric Chavez can be his once healthy self this year. He has had all the necessary surgeries so im hoping he can come back and play great for us like he used to.
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Albert Pujols, Adam Wainwright, and Rick Ankiel. Prospects if they make it: Colby Rasmus, David Freese, and Brett Wallace
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Seeing if Fontenot can be an every day second baseman and if Carlos Marmol can be a quality closer.
-
Re: Who is the player on your fav team.....?
Matt Kemp. I want to see him put up 25+/40+, win a gold glove, and get his name right up there with Sizemore and Beltran as one of the game's best CFs.
And Chad Billingsley. If he continues to improve (he turns only 25 in July) and stays healthy, he'll be nothing short of flat out sick. I expect him to be very seriously mentioned in the Cy Young discussion for 2009.
I'm also excited and interested to see how Kershaw's '09 turns out, but I don't have lofty expectations for him... I just want to see him get close to 200 innings, improve his BB rate, win double digit games, and put up at least a 115 or so ERA+.
And I'm excited to see which of the many washed up ST invitee pitchers becomes the next Jose Lima or Chan Ho Park for the Dodgers.
