CC, Cano, and ARod after all this
I did forget to mention: Carp. If he has a healthy season, Cards could be a world series team again. He is really their only missing link. Getting a top ace back to any rotation could do that for a team.
I think the Cards are a lot farther away from being a WS than just one SP, no matter how good. The Cubs are far better than the Cards in just about every way as of right now. Not to say the Cards suck....but they have a lot more holes than just the top of their rotation.
Forogot Chris Iannetta
Well I look at the team that won it in 06' and they aren't really any different then that team was. other then Rolen and Edmonds, and they are replaced by guys like Ludwick and Glaus. The back end of the rotation is a little different as well, but really, i see the two teams as being very similar. two teams as in 06 Cards and 09 Cards
Proven : Felix Hernandez / Ichiro
Unproven : Brandon Morrow / Jeff Clement / Franklin Gutierrez
Duh? : Griffey Jr.
Three K's in an inning is the ideal number and we've already established that I'm a racist.
For the Mets daniel murphy he looks like a pure hitter with great knowledge of the game i can't wait to see him in his first full year
also reyes wright beltran johan du
another 4
1 mike pef to see if he can repeat last year
2. maine coming off injury
3. delgado- need him to have a good year
4. fernado martinez-maybe he can come up and do good
I'm looking forward to Travis Snyder's potentially first full season (he is only 21 I think and he could be up and down a bit). I also want to see what Adam Lind can do with a manager who has confidence in him. I'm crossing fingers and toes for Aaron Hill to make it back from last year's concussion, but I know the odds against it are steep. It would also be nice to see a return to health and form from Dustin McGowan and Casey Janssen, although 2 pitchers returning from torn labrums at once could be asking the baseball gods for a bit too much. Staying out of last place in the AL East would be nice too. Probably the most eagerly anticipated question with the Jays is who will the new President be when interim President Paul Beeston steps down after naming him. This individual will have a huge impact on the (much needed) new direction of the team.
