Are you using Beta?
No idea what beta even is. I'm just a simple moguler who loves the game and I posted these so that you can start on Opening Day '09 and just play.
How can you start a game on Opening Day 2009 without Beta?
League Editor go to 'Start Year'
Then, you're not going to be able to have 2008 season stats included. Unless you include the Lahman Database, v 5.6.
Okay, so I won't have '08 stats. These rosters are mainly for enjoyment and playing on from '09.
I realize that. Just pointing out the fact that these are somewhat useless without '08 stats.
Sounds good, Joltin' Joe.
I didn't mean it that they weren't playable, just that they might be better if they actually had '08 stats included.
I know he worked hard on them. Mine are still a work in progress.
Great work, thanks for sharing. One minor thing I noticed...as a fellow Mets fan, you do know they have Tim Redding now, right?
Thanks again.
Ah, yes. He was on my to-do list and the recent Griffey signing kind of threw me off.
how up-to-date are these?
hey quick question, can i download Lahman's Baseball Database 5.4 as an access file and insert it in the baseball mogul 2009 folder... load this roster, and have the 2008 stats? is it that easy? or it wont work?
Lahman Database 5.6 will give you the 2008 stats.
okay, so i just drop the lahman database 5.6 access file in the baseball mogul 2009 folder and start a new game in year 2009 and itll show each players 2008 stat? its that eazy?
Mogul uses the comma-delimited version (.csv files)
He would need Beta to be able to actually start a game in 2009. Otherwise, the latest year you can start a game in is 2008.
Thanks for posting!
orioles line-up is nothing like its proyected to be... same with pitching staff... im guessing most teams are way off.
i checked my farorite teams (Boston, Washington, Tampa) and the rosters are pretty close. There are lower level players that are free agents or on other teams but we are talking about 3-6 players for each team.
Awesome stuff. One thing---and I am sure this is simple and I am missing something----how do I enable the salary for free agents to be right instead of all being the league minimum? I have looked everywhere.
Thanks!
Up the 'Salary Demands' in league settings.
Can you (or somebody else) supply the attachment of the Database 5.6 version in .csv (comma-delimited)? Everytime I try to d/l it at www.baseball1.com it won't finish for some reason. I get the same problem for each type and also for previous year versions. Something might be wrong with that web site.
Thanks!
