Wait... Jones 145+ and Schmidt is 147+... thats a wash in my book
Jones ahs that 1 weird year.. 2004... he average is down lik e50+ points lol... to much swingin for the fences I guess lol
Schmidt has 1,500 or so more plate appearances, and Jones has yet to have a decline phase that would bring down his overall rate (though at the rate he's going, he may not ever have that decline :p). Schmidt had the better peak, as well. Schmidt had 10 seasons at 150+. Jones has had 7, 4 of which have come in the last 4 years in which he's played between 109 and 134 games. Schmidt's 150 OPS+ seasons came in seasons of games: 162, 160, 154, 160, 150, 102 (strike), 148, 154, 151, 160. Schmidt provided much greater in-season value with his bat.
It's the difference in the field, though, that really solidifies it for Schmidt.
Oh, he was on the juice.
lol
You think Chipper is the best Brave ever?
What would be a fair extention for both sides?
3/$45? 4/$60?
Yea, as much as I love chipper and he has ALWAYS been my favorite brave... Aaron gets the best brave ever award :p
I'll give him the best ATLANTA Brave award :p but even that is stretching it
There's also his own teammate, Greg Maddux.
