On the topic of radio personalities, though, I don't listen to any. To me, the only thing worse than listening to a bunch of blowhards yell at the top of their lungs at me is watching and listening them yell at the top of their lungs at me on television. :p
if you don't listen to any how do you know why he "goes against conventional wisdom"?:p

He doesnt make Steve Phillip type comments when I listened to him, he kind of put a spin on sports topics that applies to real life, which is what I liked about him. There was depth in Cowherds views. You should listen to him if you can HGM.

well said. ;)
Re: Which Radio Sports Guy do you listen to?
All this, plus what I have heard of him myself on the radio, is enough for me to say "No thanks"...especially this.
Saying Jose Canseco belongs in the HoF and then calling people who disagree "nerds"? Come on now.
Re: Which Radio Sports Guy do you listen to?
so you type in a search for "anti-cowherd" posts?? everyone will have pros and cons...in fact thats exactly what I typed. You are entitled to your opinion. This thread was titled, "which do you listen to". Not "find one dice likes and try to attack and pick a fight with him over it"

So you read what other people say to base your judgment on him instead of actually listening to him? Thats like a friend telling you a movie sucked, but when you go see it, you might really like it. I wouldnt judge on something unless I actually experienced it.

First off, I'm basing my judgment off what HE said. The link I provided shows what he said, as well as provides the author's own commentary...and what Cowherd said in that radio segment was just dumb and anti-intellectual. I also listened to that radio segment in addition to reading the transcript of it.

Well if thats the case, no worries then.

Colin Cowherd thinks you're a nerd if you base your arguments on data and research (and not a good type of nerd, a "Har har you're a nerd ew" nerd). That alone right there is enough for me to be completely turned off of someone.

Yeah I dont like it when he disses Heavy Metal either, but he is entertaining moreso than most of those sports radio guys.
