Here's the next trivia;
Who is the only major league catcher to catch 4 regulation (9 innings or more) no hitters?

But here an intersting one.
Despite a 4-19 record, a 95 ERA+ and playing for a 50 win team, What player threw Two no-hitters in one season.

Lemme see. Again, top of my head...for hitting, Carl Yastrzemski. For pitching, I gather you mean wins, strikeouts, and ERA - and for that, I'll say Pedro Martinez.

Yeah, there was a number of great defensive catchers back then, and you never heard of them because none of them could hit a lick. I'm going to pull a name out of the hat and say it was Sunny Jim Sundberg...

I was thinking of the Tigers right around that era, and the only name I could come up with was Bill Freehan. That can't be right, can it? :confused:

Re: Monday Sports Trivia....
