Roberto Alomar, $15M Lawsuit.

Quote:
The court papers outline the couple's relationship, starting in 2002. A month after they began dating, Alomar convinced Dall to have unprotected sex and assured her he was disease-free, the suit alleges.
In 2004, Dall says she noticed cold sores in his mouth. In 2005, after a physical exam ordered by the Tampa Bay Rays, he was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia purpura, a blood disorder sometimes linked to HIV, she claims.
So three years after he's diagnosed with something that is sometimes linked to HIV...basically this is moot.
Quote:
A few months later, the couple moved to Cleveland, where Alomar supposedly tested positive. Dall claims that after she learned Alomar had AIDS, she tested negative and no longer had unprotected sex with him.
They broke up last October.
She is demanding at least $15 million in punitive damages, claiming Alomar caused her emotional distress and exposed her children to the virus.
So it sounds like she doesn't have AIDS or HIV and then broke up with him.
And how exactly did he expose her children to the virus? That sentence makes me believe she has no idea how it's spread.
Quote:
"He jeopardized the health, well-being and life of the plaintiff, which caused her to have a fear of contracting AIDS, often referred to as AIDS phobia," the suit says.
Why did she continue to date him and have sex with him? Sounds like it's her fault and the article doesn't say he made her do anything.

I assume he does based on what the case is suggesting. It might still just be HIV but they will either dig up those records from a few years ago or give him a new test before going forward with the case i would assume.
Re: Roberto Alomar, $15M Lawsuit.
Wait, so if he was "exposing her children to the virus" does that mean he was having sex with them? Or maybe she was having sex with them after doing him? Lol.... Too many greedy people....
Re: Roberto Alomar, $15M Lawsuit.
Oh theres a lot of retarded people in this world... AIDS phobia, give me a break...
Re: Roberto Alomar, $15M Lawsuit.
I never liked that guy anyway.
Re: Roberto Alomar, $15M Lawsuit.
This whole story is just wrong...I mean, the case makes ZERO rational sense, and the whole thing just leaves me feeling somewhat dirty.

It seems to me she's already proven that.:p
Re: Roberto Alomar, $15M Lawsuit.
If he has an STD, knew it, denied it and had unprotected sex with her - then he is guilty of a crime in many jurisdictions, and would definitely have some significant liability in a civil trial. Now, it seems clear that they had unprotected sex but everything else is up in the air. But to be honest, if he knew he had AIDS, and didn't tell his girlfriend - then I think that is pathetic and he should face criminal charges as well.
