23-20 zona now!
This just goes to show how penalties kill you.

Larry fitzgerald! Yeah boy!
James Harrison is a dick, he pushed a man while he was down, that was just dumb.
P.S: HOLDING ON PITTS!
Kurt Fing Warner
Pittsburgh wins...
Ben Fing Rothlisberger
They scored too soon...
Touchdown!
I say incomplete. Its a penalty to the O-lineman for touching it though.
Well, apparently it wwas a fumble.
yeah
steelers win
Possibly the best Super Bowl ever. But a terrible call and no review on the end. I'm pretty angered by the ending. But what a game. The best super bowl I have ever seen that is for sure.
It was a great game
It was a incomplte pass refs didn't want to reverse cause either they picked the steelers or just wanted to go home.Btw on that hlmes Td my uncle tought his 1 shoe was on top off the other it looked liek it a little what do you all think??
Who won the MVP did they say yet?
Finally, a game better than the commercials
Holmes won MVP.
Heres the deal on the final play:
Warner's arm was moving forward...but it appears as though he's losing control before. That's not the point. They didn't even REVIEW the call. It's a controversial decision on the last play of the Super Bowl, I think the least they could do was review the damn thing.
The Cardinals most likely wouldn't have won but the referees are supposed to protect the integrity of the game, it was a terrible officiated game from start to finish on both sides...and the end seemed to push it over the edge.
The teams played a great game and all the game changing plays were clean with no controversy apart from the last one.
The Steelers won no point arguing it...but the officiating of the game was borderline awful.
It sucks, I turned off the game when it was 20-7. As far as best Super Bowls go, Titans vs Rams was the best I ever saw.
I don't think they would have seen enough, though, the OVERTURN the original fumble call, so it's sort of a moot point.
Wow...GREAT Super Bowl two years in a row?! Anyone else seeing bad omens of a 55-3 asskicking next year to make up for that? :D
Helluva game.
I truly believe it was the best super bowl ever. Surely the best super bowl I have ever watched.
Topped last years because of the intensity all the way through where as last years was the last quarter.
Apart from the third quarter I was riveted. Outstanding.
Best. Super. Bowl. Ever.
With Bruce as the halftime entertainment (the best show I've ever seen), and a game going down to the wire, this was a great, great game.
And for the record: the Doritos Snow Globe commercial was the best, IMHO
That was a good game but awful reffing. The 1 TD yes many of my friends thought his 1 toe was on top of the other and on the final play it was the effing tuck rule. The Patriots won the superbowl on that exact same damn play, Warner's arm was clearly moving forward
I kind of liked the 1 second Comercial
"HighLife!":D
In Calgary the CTV news station intercepted the feeds from NBC so we couldn't watch nay of the commercials.
Worst Superbowl ever, actually. I don't think there could be two teams that I hate more playing it. First time I haven't watched in it the last 5 years.
Incredible game...
The Holmes TD catch was probably a TD... I'm not sure one foot was on top of the other, the toes looked like they both *just* caught the ground, and it was a TD. Incredible throw, incredible catch... TERRIBLE defense.
Final play... Warner's arm was going forward, but that play was as much of an on-the-fence type of play you could possibly have... it wasn't clearly a fumble, and it wasn't clearly a throw. But I have a few thoughts on this:
1) Why did they opt to throw a short-ish pass over the middle right before the "fumble," with 1 TO remaining and enough time for 3 or 4 quick plays? Shouldn't you SAVE that timeout and throw deeper?
2) Why the HELL was Warner dicking around in the backfield, instead of just throwing the ball away and leaving his team with 1 or 2 plays afterwards!?
3) Why was that final play NOT reviewed!?!?
Great game by the Steelers, and I'm kinda shocked that Big Ben didn't get the MVP... so many times he had Cardinal defenders chasing him around or in his face, and he ducked/dodged/stepped up and made HUGE plays. The Steelers showed that they are the best team in football. They deserve this.
It's a shame that the Cardinals committed as many penalties as they did, and made as many mistakes in crucial situations as they did.
And one last thing... did Kurt Warner not look like a LITTLE GIRL when he was coming back to defend against that 100 yard INT return? THROW YOUR F*CKING WEIGHT INTO THAT SITUATION... slow the guy down, do something! Don't get blocked out of the way while flailing your arms around feebly like you aren't anywhere near an NFL athlete.
One of the 3 best Super Bowls I can remember watching, though. The other 2 being Rams-Titans and Bills-Giants.
Oh, and regarding the halftime show... I think Bruce Springsteen is one of the most overrated musicians ever. My friends and I opted to watch a Simpsons rerun instead. We flipped back a few times, and, as we predicted, he was up on stage being overwhelmingly unentertaining, even less interesting than the commercials on Fox.
I don't like how much refs influences the game, I am a believer or letting them just play. and i have no idea why the "fumble" at the end wasn't reviewed.
was the lingerie bowl happening during halftime or not?
Isn't this A LITTLE contradictory? if it was an incredible throw and catch, then there really wasn't anything the defense could do about it. Much like the first Fitzgerald touchdown.
I was on edge the entire game. AMAZING game, with terrible officiating. The NFL BETTER review that this offseason. There were WAY too many offensive line penalties in the game. Yes, all the calls were deserved, but there's holding every play. Come on, guys. Officiating in the NFL is just TERRIBLE. I'm glad my Steelers won, but another 2008 season playoff game DESTROYED by terrible officiating.
Way too many calls. They took a lot away from the game.
I'll leave with this last thought though. This cemented Ben's status as an elite QB. The way he led them down the field, 90 yards in under 2 minutes to win the game. It's what he's done since he came to Pittsburgh. Win, and come up big in clutch situations. He may never have Brady, Manning, Warner, etc.-like numbers, but he's a proven winner, and is as clutch as any QB in NFL history.
Oh, and the Super Bowl commercials SUCKED. the only good ones was the 1-second high life, and the 1st Doritoes crystal ball one.
Arizona is my team. No, I am not a bandwagon. They are the first team that I ever watched and I've loved them ever since. The pain that goes though my heart....since 1898 when it all began ... no championships to show
I liked the pedigree commerical with all the strange animals acting as pets. That was awesome...and the "men dont' get hurt, but they can drink pepsi."
I just wanted Warner to win this one as well, I want him in the Hall. I am obviously a Rams fan living where I live, so it's easy to root for him, in fact most stl people were rooting for the Cardinals on this one (thus the reaction at last night's blues game), but I wasn't surprised by the end result....but refs, let the boys play...i mean you were a lil over bearing with constantly calling things.....and the last play not being reviewd? why?
Either way, congrats to the Steelers on their 6th championship...they have earned it
