No visiting fans in HS basketball Games

What do you guys think about this? I know in Chicago this has been talked about alot..... I can see both sides to this thats why Im posting it to you guys to see how you feel.
On one side: I can see why they are doing this I can see how some kids acting very stupidly is making them stop letting people from the other team go to the games to avoid further violence since there has been so much lately however on the other side it sucks that first of all that gives a big advantage to home teams only having home team supporting... Second of all parents who have best friends that their children are from another school cant go support them... Third of all it gives those kids that normally would be spending 3 hours to watch a game nothing to do... and rather than be watching a game they can be upto no good instead.
Re: No visiting fans in HS basketball Games
I know my old HS has stopped that. There was a big incident at one of the games where kids from another school came and started some sh!t and tried jumping one of the kids at the game. The principal made the rule that no guests are allowed at the games any more.

Yeah, I think the best way to deal with a problem is to run as far away from it as possible.
Re: No visiting fans in HS basketball Games
Sometimes the only thing you can do is run.
Re: No visiting fans in HS basketball Games
As brought up in all the 'drug threads'. Punish the crime.
Re: No visiting fans in HS basketball Games
Wow Im surprised so far all three who have posted agree..... is there anyone who doesnt agree?
Also is this something common..? If thats the case I would understand better I guess.... I had thought that it seemed like Chicago was pretty much the only place that added a rule like this.

No, I was being sarcastic.
Unfortunately, it seems like it's the norm for authority figures to take away personal rights and freedoms in order to "protect" those people.
It's much easier than dealing with the actual problem.
