I don't know. Part of me wants (or needs?) to know exactly "what is out there" in the world... the good, the evil, etc. I can't plead fear or ignorance, even though there are a lot of things you really wish you never saw.

Metsguy... once you are a little older you will unflrtunatly like most of us find your own little nitch of what interest you. In the same way in baseball... I would rather see a guy liek Rickey Henderson get on base cause havoc and make a guy throw it away and run from 3rd home to tue the game... others would rather see someone hit a HR to win it. Both people have good rooting intentions just liek to go about it a different way... Angels are more a small ball team NY is more of a Longball team... both exciting and both effective...

People watch it because, I don't know, when somebody says "Watch this f'ed up video", there's a curiosity in you that wants to know what exactly it is. And besides, it's just a video. It's not like it's happening to you.
I'd say it's human nature, I know that's what it is for me anyways. I'm an incredibly curious and nosy person, so even if I know it's something I'll probably regret seeing afterward I'm still drawn to it through my abnormally high level of curiosity.
Once you guys get older you will understand why people watch them.
The same reason people look at car accidents as they pass by. The same reason people will actually take a swig from the milk carton someone hands it to them after saying "Man, taste this...I think it's gone bad."
