Re: Are there more current/unelected HOF'ers
Adam Dunn has 5 consecutive seasons of 40+ home runs and a .360+ on-base percentage. Yes, he absolutely deserves to be playing baseball.
Re: Are there more current/unelected HOF'ers
All you have to do is answer "Who won the 2003 world series"

You likely played against casual fans

Or, another way to state it...
Juan Pierre has 890 more plate appearances than Adam Dunn, and has made 911 more outs.

Wow, a trivia game against a bunch of 12 year olds? I'm impressed.

So... HR are all that matters now? You were criticizing me for using HR at all in my Finley vs. Edmonds argument, and now you're championing them as a statistic?

No surprise, I've yet to see him say on intelligent thing in any thread.

Metsguy, there is more to baseball than striking out and batting average. It's absolutely astonishing that you flat-out ignore everything else (except, of course, when it suits your argument).

Actually, against the wife of a minor league umpire.

No, home runs are not all that matters. They are part of what matters, and Adam Dunn is an excellent home run hitter. He is also excellent at getting on base. The two most important factors of offense are getting on base and hitting for power. Adam Dunn does both excellently. He is a very productive hitter.
Marlon Anderson and Juan Pierre, on the other hand, have little or no semblance of power, and are not good at getting on base. They are the opposite of "productive hitter."

So, I bet you there are wives of players who don't know anything.
Heck there are PLAYERS who don't know what is happening (Donovon McNabb)

And, I actually made a thread once where I said I was wrong about that and other things.

Career OPS+ of 130, certainly would be one of the best hitters on your Mets.

It is hilarious. He claimed that all players over 35 sucked, and were not good enough to play baseball
