Delete "Awaiting E-mail confirmation" members after a certain time frame

If someone doesn't confirm their E-mail address by more than a year after their registration date, I say we should make them re-register, by first deleting their old account.

I think we need to get rid of a lot of accounts.

We could email them telling them why and then delete them

I get the feeling that that is a lot more work than it's worth.

I don't know, but I can volunteer my time to doing that if it'd clear up network space

Because, are they truly interested after more than a year of failing to confirm their E-mail address?

but, why do you care? I'm not saying that your "wrong" somehow, or disagreeing with your point at all, but how does it affect you one way or another?

Network space, as the first follow-up poster stated.

Some extra user names in the forum database don't affect "network space" (whatever that means) at all...
