Yes, Maybe no i think they might have a chance against Green Bay
The Packers they have a chance...they have looked awful lately.
they have the talent to pull it off
Yes, they'll go winless.
It'll be close with the Packers, but they definitely won't be able to beat the Saints.
Yes, they do.
They have the talent to become legends!
Only three teams in the modern era have started 0-14. They are:
1. 1976 Buccaneers (finished 0-14)
2. 1980 Saints (won in Wk 15. Finished 1-15)
3. 2008 Lions
Just one more game, and they will set the all time record for futility.
Why just suck, when you can be legendary?
Wow, Ford really is one quite a roll. Their main business is in financial straits and their team is the Detroit Lions.
Here's a question, which is in WORSE shape? :D
Am I mistaken, or did Kitna make a prediction of the Lions winning 10+ games and making the playoffs before the season began? I know he did it last season, but I could swear I read that he did it again for 2008, back in the summer...
The Lions need a bailout.
for the record, the panthers currently have the record for most consecutive losses in one season (lost their last 15, think it was '01, but i could be wrong)
What's your point? If they wanted to be legendary, they shouldn't have beaten Minnesota in week 1. As it is, they're just there. Like the stuff underneath your shoe when you walk your dog and aren't watching your step.
I second that motion...I hear the Lions played pretty well, yesterday...at least they have a powerful incentive -that of not to be the first team to lose 16 games in an N.F.L. season...
I hope the Detroit Lions win, at least, one....that City has had its share of aggro, lately....
Reread his comment, bud: Most consecutive losses IN ONE SEASON
Plus, I'm still giving the futility award to the Lions if they lose this week.
Winning game one (the '01 Panthers) just means they didn't want it badly enough. As for the '76-'77 Buccaneers, they certainly made an impression, but as an expansion team you kinda expect trouble. The Lions are one of the oldest teams in the NFL.
(They also have the second longest streak between championships. Only the Cardinals have gone longer.)
The Lions could easily win either game, if they get some breaks. With better luck they could have 2-3 wins already. My guess would be that their best chance is against the Saints. New Orleans is awful on the road, going 1-6 thus far, with the only win against the hapless Chiefs.
Of course, with the way Brees is playing, I guess the Saints are capable of winning by 30 points, but N.O. has a lot of injuries as well, so...
I would think that the Lions have a much better chance of winning at home against the Saints than on the road vs Green Bay.
the packers won't win again this season. like a guy at worked predicted 5-11. LOL
I sure hope the Packers win one more game. Down with the Bears!
after last night it just doesn't seem like the Lions will win next week.
14-0 packers
14-14
Crosby with the field goal...it's 17-14 Pack, with a bit over 13 minutes left in the game...

good stream for anyone interested
It ain't looking good in Mudville right now...Rodgers with a toss from five yards and that's a TD. 24-14, Pack
There is life in the patient! Three big plays later, 24-21, Pack
C'mon Detroit! You can do it! Why just have a really bad year when you can go down in history!?
Dunno who you're talking about. Don't care. Packers 31-21, 7:16
Whoof, that was quick
Going for it on 4th and 4 they succeed. Lions on the Packer 41, 4:52. They're not giving up. Gotta give them that much
And AGAIN. 4th and 4 on the 35, they convert and have it on the 30
Interception. Smith's conduct penalty killed them. It's over now.
Wow. Perfection.
Pretty cool that last year there was a 16-0 season and now an 0-16. Tough luck Detroit, only one way to go now at least.
Congratulations, Detroit, for reaching a spectacular new mark for franchise crapulence.
