Ronny Paulino to Philadelphia

This happened like 3 days ago and I hadn't heard about it until now. Pretty dumb deal by Pittsburgh IMO

You've gotta admit though, this is a pretty bad deal for Pittsburgh.

I guess Pittsburgh won't win 100 games next season after all. :(

No, it's not. It's inconsequential. It's a swap of players who, at best, are backup catchers.

If by "pretty good catcher" you mean "backup catcher".

Plus, the Pirates have really soured on him, and the fans hate him. From reading the BTF thread, he's barely put any work into his craft, has gained weight, etc.

If he didn't have a fluke .300 batting average in 2005, you wouldn't be saying anything good about him.

My first thought was why would any care about this trade, its about as significant as the Royals signing Farnsworth.
