I thought it was starting Jan.1, but apparently they've already started showing programming. How long has it been on.

Yeah, Christmas comes early, but I called up and asked if they planned to put it in HD in Jan., and apparently not. Hopefully, the woman I talked to was wrong.

Golf and Food channel in HD, but no Baseball? :rolleyes:

Errr...they're showing the 2005 WS film again. I'l see when I get home later if this is all they're gonna show til January.

If I'm understanding the MLB Network correctly, you don't have to "get it." It comes with standard digital cable packages. I might be misunderstanding it, but I'm pretty sure you don't have to subscribe to it or anything.

Anybody know if DirecTV is going to have this channel? This is going to really pi$$ me off if DTV gives me the NFL, NBA, and NHL networks, all of which I could care less about, but NOT the MLB network. Yet I can't find it listed anywhere, and I searched their website and can't find any mention of it. Anyone know?

OK, thanks Pavelb1. DTV doesn't mention it anywhere, and it doesn't show up on my guide. IIRC, other channels showed up on my guide before they started, with a note stating when they started. I hope so, I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks again.

It comes with the next level up from standard, from one source I just looked up.

Everything should by then that is going to have it. I believe on Comcast it will be channel 410, or so that is the only channel # I have found

If your provider carries MLB Extra Innings you will get this channel (and you don't need to buy Extra Innings to get it)

We get MLB Extra Innings up here in this part of Canada, but I thought I heard it wasn't launching up here, which would suck. Stupid 90% hockey content sports media. :(
