Milestone: Hitting Streaks

I've not a huge fan of hitting streaks being listed as milestones but I think it'd make more sense if the streak was listed while it was still intact rather than when it ends.

I mean, I'm happily playing my game then suddenly notice that so-and-so had a 54 game hitting streak end. It might have been nice to know that it was in progress.

I know it would get old getting notifications that so-and-so has a streaks of 20,25,30,35 but it just seems weird to only get the notification that the streak has ended.

I kind of know what you mean but I personally would rather not see it then have it popping up a ton.

At the end of the streak it is. Filihok is asking for it to be displayed while in progress. I kind of agree, although I'd worry slightly that people wouldn't understand that it being displayed no longer means that it's over.

They could add it to the headlines.

The text could be changed to

Joe Dimaggio 35 game hit streak in progress

Joe DiMaggio 56 game hitting streak ends

Maybe it could not inform of a hitting streak till 30 games instead of the 20 I think it does now

Isn't it (sometimes?) listed in the scouting report blurb?

I'd still have to read through every player in the league to see if anyone has a 55 game hitting streak going on

Yeah, everytime it's over 10 games it seems to be listed. It's awfully tedious looking through everyone though.

Maybe we can add Longest Running Hitting Streak and Longest Hitting Streak of the Season to the League Leaders page.

Nice part about the hitting streaks listed in milestones is that if your guy has a 2 or 3 game streak from previous year it adds that number to the streak in the new year.

They do that in real life too. Rollins had something like that a couple years back.

That would be nice.

I'd like to see a stat added to sortable stats for each player's longest hitting streak of the season.

Also a decent idea.

I think any functional equivalent of one of these ideas would be a nice addition.
