How about Skins and the Burress-less Giants.
If the Falcons can get a win against the Chargers, which they could be able to, and the Saints can beat the Buc's the Falcons will slide into a tie for first place!
Yeah, I hear the Giants are a decent football team.
/sarcasm
Wow, Jonathan Stewart did the old slow down on the break away and ends up fumbling the ball. Panthers are lucky they recovered.
Pats up 7-0 i think their gonna run the table and go 12-4
Look at this shudule
WK 13: PIT (8-3)
WK 14: SEA (2-10)
WK 15: OAK (3-10)
WK 16: ARI (7-5)
WK 17: BUF (6-6)
The only loss i see is Arizona and Dever and the Jets are tied 7-7 and the Broncos could knock off the Jets
Up 7 on the Steelers in the first is a long way from a win
damn Steelers in the Red Zone:mad:
good only a FG:)
Stupid Buc's won :(.
20-10 damn casell:mad::(
Matt Ryan is gonna be a helluva quarterback in this league.
Vikes/Bears tonight? Predictions?
Vikes 31-24. Only because it's a home game. Plus, the Vikings know that they need this win a lot more than the Bears.
Vikings 34-28 in OT on an AP 45 yard TD run
Question: Chargers continue their trend of losing and miss the playoffs. Is Norv fired?
A real WTF run by Peterson. Vikings knocking on the door now.
Jeez. Looks like we are going to settle for a FG. And Gus is down.
EDIT: My God, where the hell is the late hit call for that?
Did the Saints win?
Big goal line stop by the Vikings.
99 Yards to Berrian!!! Wow!
Awesome 2nd quarter for the Vikings, 17-7 going to halftime.
So by the Broncos beating the Jets does this mean they are the team to beat in the AFC?
/sarcasm. lol
But as a Broncos fan this team has frustrated me even more this week. Lay eggs against KC, Oakland and Jacksonville. Beat quality teams like the Jets and Falcons on the road.
I just don't get it.
Ah, 31-14 Vikings with around 8 minutes left.
34-14 win for the Vikings. Huge win. The INTs they had really played a big part. Through the first 11 games they only had 8 but had 3 tonight.
It's not all Norv's fault -- L.T. is sucking it up forcing Rivers to throw way too much when that isn't their style. Yeah his [Rivers] stats are nice, but with L.T. doing squat the Chargers can't win.
Agreed. I actually would put some of this at the feet of the GM as well. AJ Smith seems to have developed quite the ego...the whole Schottenheimer mess was a fiasco...let's let both co-ordinators leave, THEN fire the head coach. Oh, and then we'll replace the aggressive Wade Phillips with Ted Cottrell, one of the most passive defensive co-ordinators around (that should work GREAT seeing as the whole D has been built for aggression).
LT looks like the massive workload has caught up to him...the offensive line is way too inconsistent, too. Marcus McNeill looks like an All Pro one week, and a right tackle playing out the position the next.
effin Jets... we could have iced the division and REALLY put it in our own hands :( I wanted that shot at the #2 sead... now not a chance in hell...
could have been up 2 games... how the hell do we let the broncos win this game :(
Turner would have been tricky to hold on to, though he might have been able to tag him and trade him. The problem with that approach is, he counts against the cap for the full franchise tag amount (which is pretty hefty) until you move him.
As for Brees, once they drafted a QB they were pretty much stuck having to eventually move someone. Brees hadn't played well until AFTER Rivers came around, so they were stuck with 2 guys. And as much as I love Brees, Rivers is a very good passer in his own right.
This offseason is huge for San Diego. They have a number of big guys (McNeill, Merriman, Cromartie, Rivers) who's contracts are up in another year or two, and there's no way they can resign all of them, so they have to figure out who's staying and start getting extensions done. They also need to either get back to that smashmouth, physical, aggressive style they're currently built for, or start turning over personnel to better fit new schemes.
