Plus, hes quoted as saying he loves the NFL and never wants to leave. If he goes to the college game I'd be incredibly shocked. Like eto said 0% chance.
And the only rookie I can see starting is whoever the Lions decide to draft #1...unless they go defense. The Rams I could see drafting Bradford but he's going to need to develop behind Bulger before he jumps in there.
In my opinion, this years QB class is weak compared to last years.
I feel like Stafford and Bradford are the most solid NFL ready rooks that will most likely be the first couple QBs taken and can AND/OR will produce i.e. Matt Ryan.
Re: Full time starting jobs next season?
Even Tebow and White could do something in the NFL right away. Tebow is a physical specimen with great accuracy and a knack for the endzone running or passing and White has possibly just as much if not more talent than Vick had (as he can throw the ball accurately and run just as well).

neither starts a game their rookie season unless a plague of injuries befell the top 2 QBs on whatever team selects them

sorry, but I don't think White is in the same ballpark as Vick running the ball.
Re: Full time starting jobs next season?
Pat White and Tim Tebow are not NFL style QB's. Maybe someone like Miami will take them to run Wildcat or something but other then that they do not have the arm for the pro level.
I also agree with dickay. Pat White is nowhere near Vick in terms of running.
Re: Full time starting jobs next season?
Has Tebow even said he was going pro? I always thought he said that his education was more important.
Re: Full time starting jobs next season?
I would bet that he would stay for his senior year because of education, like you said. He's not projected to be much of an NFL QB anyway, so he might as well stay and improve his all around game if he decides to go and play in the NFL.
Re: Full time starting jobs next season?
I think Tebow whether he left early or not is a better QB than most give him credit for. That being said no matter how many Heismans he wins he probably would still be only a 3rd-5th round pick.

The way he runs simply won't work in the NFL. He simply lowers his head when running in college games & doesn't evade many defenders. NFL defenses will welcome that style with open arms. He continues to run like that in the NFL & his NFL career won't last long.
Re: Full time starting jobs next season?
How can you say Pat White isn't in the same league as Vick. White has most rushing yards by a QB in NCAA history. Vick was drafted because of his running ability and he couldn't pass worth a lick. He could throw deep but had no accuracy whereas White can run just as well and can throw for accuracy - arm strength is easier to build than accurat passing. They probably won't get gigs right away due to the depth of starters that will go around in the offseason (i.e. Cassel, McNabb, etc.), but they won't be ignored either, White won't atleast.

I would strongly disagree with this statement

Actually, he isn't wrong about that. We've seen guys build up their arm strength to they can throw a nice deep out (Drew Brees and Peyton Manning were BOTH dinged for weak arms coming out of college, and they've both improved a lot). You very rarely see a QB who has scattershot accuracy improve it a whole lot. It will come up a bit just from gaining system familiarity, but a lot of a QB's accuracy is a direct result of their throwing mechanics, and you're almost never going to use a high pick on a guy who's entire throwing motion you're going to rebuild.

But would you say Tim Tebow is an NFL caliber player?
Tebow is running the same system Alex Smith ran in college...System QB's haven't worked. Can Tebow run a non-spread?
Also Pat White is a system QB! Can he run without the spread? He's could make a run at wide receiver but to me Pat White is a Eric Crouch type player with a slightly better arm.
