Full time starting jobs next season?

What new starter, former recent starters, current backups, or possible draftees will have full-time jobs next year. Vikes, Lions, Bucs, Jets?? (if Favre goes), Bears, Rams, and 49ers all could improve at QB next season.

I don't know where any of these guys will go.

But I'd take Kitna as the best vet and Leinart as the best young guy outta this group

Tim Tebow and Pat White will not be starting next year. White maybe, but it would be as a WR or RB.

Titans starter will depend on how they fare in the playoffs (the deeper they go, the more likely Collins returns as the starter)
Vikings starter next year will likely be Cassel

Only rookies w/ a shot at starting are Stafford or Bradford

Leinart starts only if Warner retires or gets injured in preseason

I just realized today that Matt Cassel could actually play for the Vikings! I was excited. But then I realized that I was excited about a player with 10 starts since high school, and I started cutting my wrists.

The Bears will retain Orton. I'm almost completely certain about it. It wouldn't make sense for them to let him go when it looks like they might finally have both a QB and RB to build an offense around. They'll sign Orton, who will be more than glad to stay, let Rex walk, bring in a WR for Orton, and beef up the line.

I bet you wish it was that easy :p.

Yeah, I don't see Chicago making a change. Orton has played really well overall for them this year. They have bigger issues (continuing to build the O-line, maybe getting a safety who isn't utter crap) this offseason.

I think this would be easier to guess at if this questioned is tackled at the end of the regular season.

I just want to throw Jeff Garcias name out there, he went through a bad time with Gruden earlier this year and who knows what will happen with that.

Well, there's quite a bit of rumor out there that Gruden may want to head in to the college game.

Anyway, even if Tampa stick with Garcia, they need to get a young guy in there starting to learn behind him. In fact, now that I think about it...that wouldn't be a bad spot for Leinart, actually.

Haha, Gruden has the most complicated playbook in the NFL. I think he knows that won't translate too well to the college game.

Actually, in terms of complexity Gruden is down the list...Martz has a notoriously hardcore complicated offensive scheme, for instance. Gilbride's is often really up there, requiring quarterback AND receiver reads on every route that have to be in sync. Gruden's involves a lot of timing, as most of the West Coast offense style schemes do, but it's nowhere near the level of what those guys try to do.

Anyway, I guess he's let it be known that he's just frustrated with the pro game, and I know he has said in the past that he'd like to try his hand in college at some point.

In terms of size of playbook, Gruden is atop the list, by a decent margin. Hence why you don't see many young QBs playing for him. 0% chance he coaches a college team next year (despite how tempting I'm sure it will be for him to go from a playoff team in the NFL to a non-bowl team in college)

Gruden has actually turned down Tennessee (he has connections there). I would think that would be the only college he would be willing to go.

Plus, hes quoted as saying he loves the NFL and never wants to leave. If he goes to the college game I'd be incredibly shocked. Like eto said 0% chance.

And the only rookie I can see starting is whoever the Lions decide to draft #1...unless they go defense. The Rams I could see drafting Bradford but he's going to need to develop behind Bulger before he jumps in there.

In my opinion, this years QB class is weak compared to last years.

I know the Rams need some serious help, same with the lions and Chiefs
