Go titans! Crush the jets!
I hope nobody gets paid to put together those rankings. That is just the league standings sorted by W-L record. You'd think there would be some variation other than the Raiders getting dropped a couple of spots.
So yes, if the Jets win and the Panthers lose, I'd say they are almost guaranteed to be #3.
Wow I can't believe the Chiefs aren't 31st!
The pieces-of-sh*t Bears deserve to be rated 31st, just a hair above the Lions.
Due to that loss on Sunday, I'm ashamed (for the first time ever) of being a Bear fan. Most embarrassing loss in ages.
the ranking are always ridiculous, anyone who thinks Tampa is the 5th best team in the NFL is off in the head.
Sure they have a great D, but their offese runs and absolute razor thin edge, they could very-very easily have lost to KC and Chi, they have no ability to run the Ball -- espically with Graham out and Dunn not even really healty.
Me too. Lovie must go, not only bad play calling but bad personnel moves. They haven't had a WR worth **** in many many years and they keep drafting more RB's every damn year, although I like Forte. They've spent almost $70 mil on 3 defensive players and their one of the worst units in the league.
I'm not being SERIOUS, I'm just overreacting after an embarrassing loss to the Packers.
I'm still okay with Lovie, but Bob Babich can't possibly return to his job next season. In a way, I'm hoping for the defense to continue sucking so it becomes very apparent Babich has to go.
Forte is great, and the offense is showing a lot of promise, but the defense is not very good. It isn't terrible, but it's too susceptible to the pass to let this team be a serious contender.
I'm on the fence about Angelo... he does an OUTSTANDING job of drafting after the first round, but he NEVER does enough to help the team in free agency.
I would give Smith some time to straighten things up. Bob Babich has to go, Smith needs a better defensive coordinator, and maybe he even needs to take the defense into his own hands a bit more.
The Raiders by far are the worst team in the league. How do you let Jake Delhomme go 7-27 with 4 INT's and still lose???
They come from these votes:

So I guess that they are basically in alignments with W-L record is sort of a coincidence, or you could look at it as a bunch of writers who don't really know much or don't put much thought into it.
There's no way the Titans are the best team in the league, regardless of the fact that they haven't lost a game yet. Look at the schedule: combined record of their opponents so far is 36-51-1 (.404). No team has given up fewer points, but they haven't played any of the best scoring teams.
I'm hoping to see the Jets put some points up against them... after that, Tennessee doesn't have much coming up to test them until they meet the Steelers.
It's not exactly the Titans fault that they are playing a weak schedule though. I'll agree though, they aren't the best team, that title going to the Giants.
