Re: eagles / bengals tie...
feels like soccer, doesn't it?
Re: eagles / bengals tie...
What happens with the draft if they and another team tie? Would they get the worse pick?

It closed quite some time ago. Early 2005. They're 29-28-1 since.

A tie counts as half a win. Only another team with a tie could tie a team with a tie.

If they're tied record-wise (which happens most year), it goes by Points For and Against, Divisional Record, and a few thousand other stats before going to a coin toss (which has never happened).
Philly's shot is gone...actually, it was gone a couple of years ago. As dickay pointed out,m they used to do a good job replacing talent in the draft, but they've really fallen off in that department. And they're just too small on D...their Run D has been awful for years. Time to blow out some vets and rebuild it.
Re: eagles / bengals tie...
Seriously, 58 passes and Westbrook only getting around 17 touches? Reid has to be giving him the ball 25-30 times a game at least.

That's always been Reid's offense...which is weird, because with that massive offensive line, a great back and no real #1 receiver they're built like a team that should be pounding the rock. IT's also why they kept coming up short in the playoffs. They'd always run in to a team with a GREAT defense that knew Philly was just going to throw all day, so they'd just tee off an blitz every single down. Philly's backs would be racking up 7 or 8 yards a carry, but he'd just keep calling passes.
Re: eagles / bengals tie...
Andy Reid is NOT a good coach.

Actually, a coin toss happened in 2006. I believe the tiebreakers are based on common opponents, conference records, and such, and the 49ers and Raiders had nothing that could separate them. The Niners won the toss, and selected Vernon Davis at #6. The Raiders picked Michael Huff at #7.

Oh, I was talking about figuring out season tiebreakers for playoff seedings. Yeah, it HAS happened for the draft, like you said.
Man, Vernon Davis and Michael Huff...that's a couple guys who've panned out. :D
Re: eagles / bengals tie...
Yea, I wasn't thinking clearly and was talking about if they tied record-wise for the draft and then I was like "Wait."
