What is the maximum amount of playing time in the past to be eligible for the NFL ROTY, I am wondering if Cassell is eligible
I thought it was the otherway around.
Play for the tie on the road and the win at home
Nope. I hope this Eagles/Giants game tonight continues to be good, already have seen a D-Lineman intercept a ball, so I don't know if it CAN get much better.
Nope. You can only be up for Rookie of the Year awards in the NFL in your first season in the league. Once you've been in for a season, even if you've been a backup for years (like Cassel) or you missed your whole rookie year with an injury (Ricky Watters with the 49ers comes to mind), you're out of the running.
Even without Cassel, there are a LOT of rookies who deserve consideration this year on offense. Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Chris Johnson, Matt Forte...and Ryan Clady and Jake Long should be, but offensive linemen never win.
How bad are the Detroit Lions? They sign a QB on Tuesday who hasn't played football in a year. Then he STARTS THE GAME 5 days later. There is no way he knows more than 25% of the offense! That's just pathetic.
rockiesfan the only reason Herm is dumb now is because it didn't work. If that play worked KC would be calling him a great coach.
(Much like Shanahan in Week 2. If that two point conversion didn't work who knows what complaints he would have gotten)
I agree with Even. KC's D would not have stopped the Chargers in OT. Your 1-7 and you have a chance at a huge upset. Take the chance and go for the win
Ehh I think I am torn because I was want to win, but get a high pick
I dunno, I've long though Herm Edwards is a terrible coach, regardless of one call on a conversion.
RedSox : Hockey's #2 for me, Baseball and hoops are tied for third. Curling's actually kinda fun to PLAY, but awful to watch (along the same lines as poker).
Do you follow the CFL very much, Arctic Blast?
UFC needs to be in that top 3 or 4...
I dont get the point of UFC
Herm isn't that great of a coach but I think the decision he made today shouldn't be held against him.
Well, yeah, it's November...I'm pretty sure I will be freezing in a very short amount of time.
Actually, I think part of the reason that baseball has fallen for me is that it's just not available locally (well, there's the Cracker Cats, but they've been a very poorly run organization) since the Trappers left. There's a CFL team in Edmonton, an NHL team, and MFC, which is a local MMA organization that puts on some very good cards.
The Cracker Cats???
Are thay all black?
:confused:Ummm...I really don't follow what you're talking about...?
Actually, it refers to Catalytic Cracking, which is a part of the oil refining process, oil being kinda a big deal here in Saudi Alberta. It is a stupidly obscure reference, though, and a pretty stupid team name.

Horrible logo, too. Sorta looks like some perverse cat. Actually, ex-Oiler George Laraque hilariously pointed out that it looks like the cat's getting ready to go golfing, which is fitting (and funny) because the team never, ever comes close to the playoffs.
The picture is not showing...
Just looked them up, LOL, nice Logo

Good game so far, 20-17 Giants @ the half.
Nice catch there by Hank Baskett. Too bad he isn't with the Vikes still, instead of him we got the great Billy McMuellen!!
Eagles with the ball on their own 15, 3:15 left, down by 5. Hope McNabb can make somthing happen here.
Good game. And New York wins another one.
F'N Giants!!!!
That Eagle / Giant game was great....being an Eagle fan it surely hurt. Reid is getting a little predictable and I never understood with under 1 yard to go why not just have McNabb tuck the ball and duck behind the center. Really stupid they don't do that more.
That aside....the Giants should have been up by alot more. The Eagles never could stop their running game and they simply did not pound it enough. If Coughlin would just stop being a pu$$y and really use that three RB attack properly, they would be quite a force. They are already good, but averaging over 5 yards per carry they need to run it more.
Well, at least SF did something right in the game, as they took the opening Kickoff back for a TD.
