Grossman sucks
Bears lost! W00t!
RickD, you can make that same prediction in 3 weeks when the Vikings play Chicago! :)
This game was a massive disappointment for Bear fans. Yet another game this season where the Bears come up short against one of the elite teams in football.
It's worth noting that the 4 teams the Bears have lost to this season have a combined record of 28-8. In 3 of the 4 losses, Chicago led for most of the game, and into the 4th quarter.
Beyond the fact that Rex Grossman couldn't hit open receivers and overlooked the underneath options (particularly Forte), and the Bear pass defense (which looks worse and worse each week) was unable to stop the Titans from moving the ball, there was a lot of questionable offensive play calling. The Bears had multiple 2nd and 1 situations where they handed the ball off to Forte instead of taking shots down the field.
I still think the Bears are the best team in their division, and will show that in the coming weeks by crushing Minnesota and Green Bay.
As for the Titans, they're a very good football team (obviously). As always, Jeff Fisher manages to get this team to overachieve. I don't see them going undefeated (I predict 14-2), but they're certainly one of the two best teams in football currently (Giants), and will be a very tough out in the playoffs.
Well, you guys will get to prove yourself if you are the best, since 3 of the last 7 are vs. GB and MN. For the Vikings, we have the toughest schedule of the 3 remaining teams. How much longer is Orton supposed to be out for you guys?
a little something for the bears fans on here
