UPDATE: I've decided to change the rules a little bit. I see a lot of dynasties that allow "x trades during offseason" and "y trades during season." I feel like limiting myself to just 3 per calendar year is way too low. Maybe 3 per offseason and 3 per regular season. What do you think?
Yeah, I'd say a fair amount to not take advantage of the AI would be something like 3 trades during the season, 5 trades during the offseason.

Boston sent their newly-acquired starter Jamie Moyer to begin the series in Anaheim, California. Moyer was flat-out terrible, giving up 8 hits and 8 runs, 4 earned, in just 1.2 innings. Hitters went 8-14 against him, for a .571 OBA. The bullpen pitched great, giving up just 4 runs throughout the rest of the game. On the offensive side, Mark McGwire hit a two-run double to left-center, followed by Dwight Evans, who blasted a three-run home run 462 feet to center field. However, the efforts of the offense to win the game fell just short.

In what can only be described as a pitchers duel, Roger Clemens took the mound in game 2. After allowing just 1 run on 4 hits through the first 8 innings, Roger Clemens gave up a walk-off solo home run to LF Brian Downing, his second of the game, with two outs in the ninth inning. In his return to the lineup, Red Sox CF Ellis Burks went 1-2 with a walk; he was also hit by a pitch.

Last night was the polar opposite of game 2. Pitching was below-average, at best. After falling behind 4-1 early, the Red Sox got one run in the 4th, one in the 5th, three in the 6th, two in the 7th, two in the 8th, and two in the 9th. Boston’s Spike Owen, Ellis Burks, and Mark McGwire each hit home runs.

This was a very good game overall for the Red Sox. The offense scored 9 runs on 20 hits, and the pitching staff gave up only 3 runs on 8 hits (while striking out 10). Starter Al Nipper gave up all 3 runs on 7 hits in 6.0 innings. The Bullpen was fantastic.

I have decided to sim the games, rather than view them in PBP mode. I feel that I can get more done that way.
I have also decided to expand my options, by changing my rules a little bit. I will now allow myself 3 offseason trades and 3 in-season trades. All other rules will remain the same.
