Manny Ramirez apparently according to Scott Boras should get a deal similar to Barry Bonds or Alex Rodriguez in pay and length.
Am I still the only one that believes Scott Boras is nuts?

lol u just figured that out :p
You have heard of negociations ,NO ? Start HIGH in order to cut out "the crap" offers & then get a real Boras Market value. One thing is SURE,never bet against Boras (or at least NEVER with your own money)
Manny will get 100 million this WINTER from somebody ;) & thus Scott 10 :D
PS how much DO YOU have on your bank account ? How many employees do you have ? How many houses do you own ?
When YOU have more than Boras THEN you can call him "nuts"........UNTIL then I would recommend you STUDY Boras & LEARN from his exceptional rise in Sports & as an agent, before being subjective & vehement in YOUR criticism (like the blatant partisan title). Just some advice,my friend.

insane
adjective
1. Afflicted with or exhibiting irrationality and mental unsoundness: brainsick, crazy, daft, demented,
Law non compos mentis.
2. So senseless as to be laughable: absurd, foolish, harebrained, idiotic, See ability/inability, knowledge/ignorance.
3. Very foolish; absurd:
Boras is a brilliant man who is extremely dedicated to his work and being the best at what he does. His job is to get his clients the best deal possible...and he's the best at doing it. You can not like his tactics or ethics...but you have to respect and applaud his accomplishments. Of course metsguy can't understand this....if McCain were elected president he was going to move out of the country. If he can't respect and applaud McCain of all people if he were elected president, how can we expect him to repect and applaud Boras's accomplishments?
You should probably read the article better, because that's not what Scott Boras says.Quote:

He might be nuts, but he's a rich nut. Wish I was!
yea.
al it means is he will get a deal that gets him until he is in his yearly 40's
bonds $ and a-rod were far apart a-rod for 275 amd bonds got 90. hts the age he was talking about
I wouldn't go as far as calling him crazy. He's an agent and he HAS to negotiate it all if he wants to keep being an agent and rich! :) I mean why not? Manny is one of the best hitters out there. Why wouldn't he want his cake and eat it too?
It's brilliant. Boras is throwing out these massive numbers so that, when Manny signs for less, he looks like a 'good guy' and like someone who 'gave the team a deal'.
you KNOW the teams want Manny, you KNOW that Manny is a brilliant hitter, you KNOW all of the teams in the league right now can benefit from having Manny in their roster, and you have seen what Manny's done in LA. This is typical Boras, he knows all these and knows that power is on his side right now. He won't get the contract he is asking for right now, no way, but this is his way of getting his players' contracts higher than what it should be, in other words, he's a master at getting his clients overpaid.
Who...is it exactly that thinks Boras looks like a "good guy?"
Does this have to come up every time Boras opens his mouth. He does the EXACT SAME ROUTINE EVERY SINGLE TIME. EVER. People should be used to it. He's certainly no saint, but he's not as bad or ridiculous as some make him out to be. He's doing what it best for his client..no matter the cost. You can certainly try to argue that he may go too far with it sometimes.....but it's not like he's actually doing anything wrong.
