Re: Hey Ken Rosenfraud! How does that crow taste?
im pretty sure he ment it the other way around. the al is beating the crap out of the NL... the AL has DOMINATED the NL for a few years now. as for this series... its hard to say the philles are beating the crap out of tamap when the scores for 4 games are 3-2,4-3,5-4, and 10-2... i mean in 1 game they went crazy... relax... the yanks said the same thing when they scored about 20 runs in 1 game in 2004 and well... look how that turned out
Re: Hey Ken Rosenfraud! How does that crow taste?
Do you have any idea of the results of interleague play this year? The past few years? Do you know what the Phillies record was against the AL this year? Look it up, and educate yourself.

No, I meant it the NL is beating the crap of the AL, 3 games to 1!!!!!! That is what really matters!

No, but every single player in the history of baseball has had a stretch of games where they play bad.

This contradicts what you first said!?
No, it doesn't.

I am just commenting on Rosenfraud's refusal to believe the Phillies are that good. And now that they are one win from winning it all, he ACTUALLY admitted they are that good. He is such a loser.
Oh. Now I remember what you're referring to. Something Ken Rosenthal said that you took to mean something other than what he was actually saying, and now you still are.
Quote:
He is still a loser. Ever since Tampa beat Boston, he has been riding Tampa so hard. He never picked Philly to win this year in any series. He never gave any respect to them. Why should I give him any respect? He doesn't deserve any.
Here's a hint - picking the Phillies to lose doesn't mean "not giving them any respect." It means thinking that the other team is better.
Quote:
By the way, when he said the Phillies are that good, he was laughing, embarassingly, but laughing. What a shrimp loser.
He actually just typed it in an article, so I don't know how you what is attitude was when writing it....And I think you clearly don't considering you're still using what he said out of context.

Well, isn't that what you want to do? Make the playoffs and peak at the right time? This isn't Baseball Mogul on Rookie setting. This is real life!
You seem to be confusing making the playoffs and playing well in the playoffs with actually BEING the better team.
No. It means they played the best in a short stretch of games in October.
Quote:
They represented the NL. Were they the best all year long? No, the Cubs were much better than the Rockies were.
There ya go.

Irrelevant to the discussion? It is RELEVANT! The DH has everything to do with it. Sign a great hitter and let him bat for your pitcher instead? Sure it makes sense, but it is not the true game of baseball.
The DH has nothing to do with the AL being better than the NL in terms of overall talent level.
Yes. It is.
Quote:
The only think is the AL is losing to the NL because the NL team is beating the living crap out of the AL team in thead to head competition and beating the crap out of the ball!
In a 7 game series.
You really think that a 7 game series between the Phillies and the Rays is evidence of which LEAGUE is better OVERALL?
Stop drawing such broad conclusions from such tiny sample sizes. It's completely ridiculous on its face to think that the entire NL is better than the entire AL because one NL team has beaten one AL team in 3 of 4 games. Also, note that the Phillies aren't beating the living crap out of the Rays, except in Game 4. Each game has been incredibly close.

It doesn't matter what happens in the regular season once you make the playoffs!

You're correct.
Your point?
Swampdog is saying that the American League is better than the National League, OVERALL. You're pointing to a 4 game stretch where one NL team beat one AL team in 3 of those 4 games and using that as evidence to say he's wrong? Uh.....That's just laughable.

You're very good at making ridiculous and incorrect claims, and then whimsically dismissing facts when they don't concur with your incorrect beliefs.
Also, it's really funny that you're telling me to "Go back to school." Just look at your argument, and then reassess who actually needs to "go back to school."

And it is the World Series? Well, they are the games that matter!

4-7 games between two teams doesn't tell you anything about the OVERALL QUALITY OF THE TWO LEAGUES, WHICH CONSIST OF 30 TOTAL TEAMS. Jeez. It's not a difficult concept to understand.

What claims? That the Phils will win the World Series? It is not that whimsical. It just might happen tonight!
By the way, you might want to stop playing Dungeons and Dragons and Magic! It is skewing your views!

It still crowns the Champs of the league and measures success!

No. The claim that the American League isn't better than the National League.

Completely irrelevant, but I haven't played either in some time.

It crowns the Champs, sure....and it measures success in the playoffs. It does not measure which team is actually the better overall team, and it certainly doesn't measure which LEAGUE is the better overall league.

If you want to keep believing that.
