if he just bought it it would have temp plates on it. its illegal to drive with dealer plates unless he is test driving it or bringing it from 1 dealer to another.. a.d based on the time of night and intoxification id say it does nto fall into those catagories
as far as a second chance... im on the fence... if it was at .085 id say easy just cut him a break... over .10 tho you KNOW you are over then

Join me on the loss of respect train. I have no time for ANYONE stupid enough to drive drunk, ESPECIALLY someone who can easily afford to hire a car.

I thought "the Stilt" was dead!

it doesn't take alot of booze to register a .08...in fact many of us have probably been above it but not pulled over. Without knowing his BAC or the circumstances surrounding this, its really arrogant to give him a hard time over this. Now repeat offenders...i have no patient for. People grossly intoxicated I have no patience for. But we don't know the circumstances.

Sorry, but I am going to give him a hard time. Why take the chance? You can afford a car service, you can afford a cab, so just get one. Problem solved. Heck, there IS no problem if you do that.

From Rotoworld:
It's been revealed that Chamberlain's blood-alcohol content level was 0.134 at the time of his arrest Saturday morning; the legal limit in Nebraska is 0.08.
Re: Chamberlain apologizes for 'an error in judgment' after DUI
I think that you have to cut him some slack... I am VERY confident that he is not the only face athlete to drive while intoxicated.
Re: Chamberlain apologizes for 'an error in judgment' after DUI
Complete loss of respect for him as a person. Nothing wrong with cheering for him on the field, but as a person, he's an idiot...and I say that about ANY person who drives while intoxicated. The "oh, lots of people do it, it's not that big of a deal" excuse is absolute BS. It onlly takes ONE time for you to get a little careless and kill somebody..then you'll be blubbering in court and saying "oh, I didn't mean to" and other crap. Playing with people's lives by driving drunk is just completely unacceptable.....too bad there are so many idiots in the world who do think it's okay.
Re: Chamberlain apologizes for 'an error in judgment' after DUI
I just hope that he doesn't have a problem and becomes the next Sidney Ponson.

This is moot houston as many, probably you included, posted they would hold this against him even before knowing his BAC. .134 while high, depending on your tolerance many can function at that level without others knowing they are intoxicated. Doesn't make it right, it was a dumb decision. A decision a great many of Americans who critique those given DUI's have made themselves (hypocrites).
As someone else posted, he can afford a cab. True, but i'm venturing a guess that pretty much everyone caught for DUI could have afforded a cab or made a call as well. Having money in no way makes this work.
They should make the laws against this very strict for first offense to reduce it happening. Second offenders should serve jail time. I can't stand people who drink and drive...but knowing i've gotten behind the wheel where I felt I was fine but more than likely would have failed a breathalizer so I won't be a hipocrite.

I was just posting some pertinent information. Also, just to clarify, I didn't post anything prior to that.
