I do like how santana miggy and crew said they will play but they wnat to win with a good team. I LIKE that. the players may be more into it than people originaly thought.


They also are starting spring training early this year by 1 week to help get mor time for people... I like that as well :p

Is the regular season starting a week later than usual? I remember hearing something about that.

I think it's starting like April 6th, but it's unrelated to the Classic.

I had heard that it was.

But either way, next year's schedule is so screwy. The World Series starts OCTOBER 28TH and could run until November 5th.

You don't have to root for your own country in sporting events. In the Olympics, I rooted for everyone except human rights violating China.

thats fine, just wondering since you go to school up in Everett, I assumed you were American. I find it funny for somebody not to root for their own country...but since you are also Japanese Citizen, that makes sense :)

Can someone explain this argument to me? I never understood it and though that it should be up to the player. To put it simply, most of us here have jobs, and I doubt that most of us feel our ultimate loyalty is to our employer (even those of us that do contract work).

I agree with you. I would place family and heritage above work, and that is what these players are doing by playing in the WBC. They are showing national pride, which there is no problem in doing. Oh, but that's right, fair weather fans are greedy, and don't care about the players personal feelings.
