Gee, a Phillies fan is saying this? What a surprise.

Come on, seriously. The Rays psyche is really fragile. They were less than three out from the World Series and they lost that game and the next.
How about we stop attributing winning and losing to differences in "psyche", and just attribute it to who played better? How about that revolutionary idea?
Sorry, you don't win 97 games and make the World Series with a "fragile psyche." Frankly, you don't make the major leagues with a "fragile psyche."

But keep voting for the Rays. Look what happened to the Dodgers. And they are a tougher team than the Rays.
No, they're not.

Tampa is a great team. So are the Phillies, but they wouldn't be great in the American League, they'd be good.
But, frankly, debating the issue with you is probably worthless, considering you're a Phillies fan, and from what I've read of you, you're a fan that's not capable of looking at things objectively, and instead let your fandom be the focus of your "analysis."

Playoff experience means jack ****.
Re: Who will win the World Series?
Why do you seem to think there's some sort of anti-Philadelphia bias among baseball fans on these forums? That makes no sense.
Do the Phillies even have a rival team?

In case you missed it, the Red Sox have...you know...a bit of play off experience too.
Tampa is the best team. If I hadn't been clouded by homerism, I would have been picking them since the get go. But, we gotta play the games, anything can happen
Re: Who will win the World Series?
The Rays have no experience, and they hammered the White Sox, who have a lot, and then beat the defending world champions. Yeah, I'm sure the thought of playing the Phillies has them quaking.
"Mental advantage", (besides being what exactly?) means basically nothing. If anything, the Rays confidence is sky high.
This has absolutely nothing to do with being "haters". I predicted the Phils would easily beat the Dodgers. Its a simple fact; The Rays are much better than Philadelphia. Thats all.

Why? Not up to the challenge? Because I, like all Philadelphia fans, am very passionate about my team. Did I say the Phillies will sweep the series? No. I think they will win. I watched all the LCS playoff game this year. Tampa was scared in game 6 and the first part of game seven. Their psyche is very fragile.
But then again, a lot of people picked the Brewers, a lot of people picked the Dodgers. Who won in the end. This team does not quit and they are aggressive. They WANT to win this and that is their only goal.
Come on haters. Write them off. It will be so much better when the Phillies win it this year!
Re: Who will win the World Series?
The Rays were 12-6 vs the National League this year, and, conversely, the Phillies were 4-11 against the major league teams, oh, I meant the American League teams.
Oh, I gotcha...the Phillies "want it more". Right. Tell me, will they also give 110%, and play one game at a time?

No. Because arguing with a person that is blinded by their fandom is useless.

I picked the Brewers to win the NLDS, although, looking back, I'm not sure why I did...that was a dumb mistake. I picked the Phillies to win the NLCS though.

Uh, yeah, the same goes for Tampa Bay.

I'm not a hater. I'm just rational.

Then pick them to win, state your case, discuss why you think they'll win, do whatever. But accusing everyone who picked the Rays of being "haters" and making statements like "the Dodgers are tougher than the Rays" is just... silly.

So any time a team is losing, it's because they're scared? This makes zero sense.

A lot of people picked a lot of teams. I picked the Phillies over the Brewers, personally. It's not because I was "hating" on the Brewers, it's because I thought the Phils were a better team and would win the series.

No teams "quit."

That's every team's goal.

That is the other thing. I HATE the American League. DH rule? Bunch of wusses! Real baseball is played with all nine position players batting, not with someone else batting for the pitcher. That is so stupid!
