If I had dark skin, i would rather be called black then African american, and most do prefer that. Not all blacks were born in America, and they prefer to be called black, it sounds more natural. We don't call whites White Americans, so why call Blacks African Americans. And many blacks are so far removed from Africa that they feel they are not African anymore, and are just "American".
well now this has turned into Steve Harvey: Black or African-American?
can we get Back to TBS
one again my post is ingored here:
Why does every theard go down hill when Metsguy and RedsoxRockies post in it?
No it is not. I have Tan skin. If someone called me tan, I do not care. or white, or Indian, Or whatever!!! How is it wrong when it is the truth? And in truth, it is more truthful! Many black americans were born elsewhere, yet people call them African Americans. That is incorrect, as they were born in another country. Now drop it
Well, i'm just saying... calling people "black" or "white" is grouping them based on their skin color... calling a Native American an "Indian" is less racist, because the term has been carried down from that dumbass Christopher Columbus, and it's not grouping them based on the color of their skin.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????
i thought this theard was about TBS?:confused::confused:
As long as you don't call them the n-word, it's fine.
African American and Caucasian are describing racial heritage though. AND, in your perfect world, it would be ok to call gays gays, or people fags or whatever, if it describes them. You have a bad idea of perfection. In a perfect world, nobody would care about this
