If I had dark skin, i would rather be called black then African american, and most do prefer that. Not all blacks were born in America, and they prefer to be called black, it sounds more natural. We don't call whites White Americans, so why call Blacks African Americans. And many blacks are so far removed from Africa that they feel they are not African anymore, and are just "American".

But basically NO ONE gets offended by being called Black or White! It is the people of opposite coloration who get all crazy about it. I am Native American, but I do not mind being called an Indian. You are not black, so do not tell us what to call them

Native American/Indian is a bit different. It's not racist, it's just... geographically incorrect. It's just used because Columbus was a dumbass and thought North America was India.

Well, i'm just saying... calling people "black" or "white" is grouping them based on their skin color... calling a Native American an "Indian" is less racist, because the term has been carried down from that dumbass Christopher Columbus, and it's not grouping them based on the color of their skin.

I suggest you look into what "racism" is.

Calling someone the color of their skin is not racist. Treating people differently based on the color of their skin is.

Once again, saying the color of somebody's skin or that somebody is of a certain race is NOT judging them.

Judging people by the color of their skin is wrong. Saying the color of their skin is not judging them.

Yes it does. Why should skin color be any different then hair color. You need to become more rational, and opened minded, and learn things more properly, rather than pretend to know all you are talking about
